I have been reading alot these days and not just here on this site. One thing I read alot is sin and how many are suffering in sin. There are many views on sin out there and there are also many excuses for sin. But if Christ sets us free from sin, why suffer it?

I have always said there are two ways to look at all things, one through the eyes of flesh, the other through the eyes of Spirit.

Don't look at what your DONE, thats the flesh. Look at what your going to DO in Him, thats the Spirit !

There is not one perfect human being, not one. God knows our weakness and if we continue to look at them, we will never look forward in Him.

Do yourself a favor, stop bashing yourselves and take up the cross of Christ and look forward, not backward.

Sin is in our lives daily, we are not immune to it. To live a puritan life means we are to put aside our sin that draws us by the flesh into the world. Jesus came so that we can be free from Sin’s legacy in our lives. Praise Jesus He did that for us. If the Son sets you free you are free indeed [John 8:36]

How do we define sin?

Anything that is not with in the perfect being and will of God.

Imperfection can not coexist with perfection. That is why God told Moses, including Moses, no man could look at the face of God and live.
I assume a mortal human can not with stand to look upon the perfect glory of God. It would be like looking right into the full face of the sun, you would just be consumed by it!

In 1 Cor 13, Paul says that after we die our imperfection leaves and perfection comes and we will look face to face at God and will know him as well as he knows us.

So, anything that God is not, separates us from him. Most everyone wants to talk about the "Nasty Five" or the "Dirty Dozen" when it comes to sin but, all sin separates us from him.

Do you doubt about anything in your life. Are you ever negative about anything. Do you love perfectly 24/7? All of these are sin as well.

Thanks be to God for the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ!

That was nice and general. I was hoping for specifics. What defines it? Let's not go with our pat Christian answers. Obviously, the Father defines it, but how?
