Understanding

Proverbs 3:5 says Trust in the Lord,and lean not to your own understanding.Most of us sure know this verse very well,but another many miss, comes from our beloved Brother, the weeping prophet Jeremiah (jer 9:1and 13:17) (or some call him the prophet of lonelness because he was commanded not to marry! Jer 16:2) (and still others call him the reluctant prophet,Jer 1:6) But of the many names this dear brother in Christ has been called, there is one thing we know of him for sure!! Jeremiah had GREAT Understanding! Jeremiah 9:23-24 Thus says the Lord,"Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom,and let not the mighty man boast of his might,let not a rich man boast of his riches;but let him who boast boast of this,that he understands and knows ME,that I am the Lord who exercises loving kindness,justice,and righteousness on earth;for I delight in these things" declares the Lord.This my Brothers and sisters is what I wish to share to you. In some areas of our life,we have been shown GREAT things!! we remember Deauteronomy 29:29 which says The secret things belong to the Lord OUR GOD,BUT!! the things reveled belong to us and to our Sons forever,that we may observe all the words of the law.We thank Jesus,we are under grace now,with far better promises then they had before our Jesus! Many of us understand,or at least we believe we do,some of the how,where and why,subjects like Eternal security,Rapture,etc.. To some of these subject we believe we are correct,and you know what? You may very well be!! Understanding is not going up against someone to prove you are right,but rather to share through love,another area that brother or sister may of missed.It is not about right or wrong unless we are talking about something that makes up our Foundation!! LOVE is one of those foundation,in fact without love, we have no foundation from which we stand,one person says we are raptured before the end,another says I believe we are raptured at another time,etc...Since we are the Body of Christ,and since we are to love,do we argue?Do we trash a person who does not believe as you do on a subject? Or do we say something like, that is intersting, I myslef do not share that, but I like you only know in part,so I respect your stand,and then ask them for there understadning on the matter,you do not have to recieve it,but all here matter,because this site was made for us to love in, not to judge in.We all can make this site as pleasent or as unpleasent as we wish to,Chad began this site out of Love for his fellow brothers and sisters in Christ,but we the body can keep love here,or look to steal it away,I hope we shall keep love growing here,we have seen many new members over this past year,but many have become angered,many do not feel like they have any worth,because some come on here not to understand them,but rather to hit them over the head with a stick, and use the Word to cut them into little pieces simply because they can! THIS!! is not understanding,this is not what this blessed site was created for,at least not to me! We will not always agree,that is fine!! But how we disagree can be more inportant then how we agree! For the sinner comes on and sees!! Understanding is not about us being right! It is about us sharing love to others through our Father! It is abour giving mercy and grace to those who so need it! My brothers and sisters!! I do not have most of the correct answers in full! I only know in part like the rest of you,but what I do know in full,is that the foundation we are to have is our understanding,which means we have compassion,grace and mercy,the same we oursleves need! If you cannot give a kind word,then leave! We all have bad days!! No one will fault you!! Who is your judge?? Only the Lord is! NOT anyone here! If you need prayer because you have been hurt, Bless God!! that is what I believe we are all about!! To bring comfort, to bring UNDERSTANDING! To bring peace,joy hope,and to some even more understanding! I hope you will consdier this this today,we all need it!! So because we do,let us as a whole GIVE it! LOL I have a ah cave man Computer right now,but Lord willing perhaps one day I will have the funds to buy a dandy one!! Let me see, if I remember correctly (they say the mind is the first to go but I can’t remember if it is or not….. lol) with my dinosaur computer I think there was a ‘notepad’. Do you have one of those on yours? It’s not as good as “Microsoft Word” or even “WordPerfect” but usable for separating paragraphs and checking what you have written.

I’ve been fortunate to have upgraded to the 17th century, anything newer than that would be entirely tooooo much technology for me…… lol

If you don't have 'notepad', I don’t mind separating the paragraphs for you as I find your posts. I would really like to find something I disagree with you on so we could have a wonderful discussion….. lol. Kindly, of course till you come to the ‘right’ way of thinking, of course…… hahaha (sorry could not resist)

Hello Brighthouse,

Appreciate your point of view... it shows the Father's heart.

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. (Romans 12: 9-11)

That's my mandate... to look at others through the Father's heart. He loves us all so dearly (the lost and the found).

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (John 13: 34-35)

As Christians, our love for each other will speak volumes to a world who is looking for the truth. "The love and self-sacrifice of Christians has done more to extend the name of Christ than argument." (People's New Testament)

Nothing life can offer can compare to knowing it is well with your soul.
To know God delights in us and loves us with an everlasting love is so awesome!
