Guys, I seriously need help. I have decided to give up on alcohol 3 days ago. It was getting to a stage where it would get too far. I messed up big time when I was house sitting for some I care about and have a lot of respect for. I really messed up and I will take responsibility for it. I know God has already forgiven. I hope she can as well. I need to forgive me too.

Ok now the drinking stems from way back when and I only realised that now. I dont have a very high selfesteem, I honestly dont think much of myself. I have been listening to Joyce meyer, which has been helping but I need support....

"Be strong and take heart, and wait for the LORD."

No matter what you have done and no matter what you think of yourself right now, you do matter to God.

He loves you as much as anyone, as much as He loves His Son. He can do that because His love is perfect and unconditional, he keeps no records of wrong doing.

As we converse via TJ, this very moment, God has already forgiven you at the cross, you were born forgiven, your forgiveness is not the issue but what do you with that forgivess is what matters most!

Are you truly "Born-Again"? Have you personally done something similar to what it says in Romans 10:8-13. If your honest, you'll know if you have or haven't.

If you have, then not only are you free but saved as well. If you have done this and therefore are "Born-Again", it may take time before peace and understanding over take your concerns about yourself. Stay here at Tj and learn from others, above all else, you must make reading God's word a constant part of your life.

If you haven't done something similar to Romans 10:8-13, then you your understanding of God and how your concerns can be eased will be limited, as God says: " You must be Born-Again!

What happened to you only shows how much in need you are of God's grace and forgiveness. To help you learn how to forgive yourself, take steps to understand how you are forgiven by Jesus' work on the cross and God's unending love for you.

And if that person doesn't forgive you, hold fast to love. Don't demand forgiveness, don't demand anything, just strive to please God.

Good luck, God bless!

Been there, done that , didn't like it.
Jesus specializes in restoring that life which is broken.
You are in my prayers.
Many blessings in His Name,
your brother Larry.

So, you are just quitting. I'm thinking of how when we stop doing something that is wrong, now we are going to have time that we didn't have, before. And there are other things that will stop, too, because they were connected with the bad habit or activity. So, you are going to get a makeover, that only God can do (c:

And you'll be a different person, not one to do that stuff; so there's no need to hold that on yourself, because you're moving on and changing to become someone else.

And we have, "He can have compassion on those who are ignorant and going astray, since he himself is also subject to weakness." (Hebrews 5:2) So, you have failed, yes; but this can help you to feel for others and help them with how God is going to help you.

God bless you (c:
