User Albums Disabled

I have disabled (globally) all user albums. They have been fully disabled and deleted entirely.

I want Talk Jesus to get back to its very root purpose: *Talk* about Jesus.

Its not to say the albums and other cool features interfere, but it does and can, and may draw people away from a more crucial purpose of being here, part of the community.

Its all about Jesus, Him. Not us.

Some may hate this decision, but ask yourself: why are the albums important and how important are they? Are they necessary for the purpose of the forums? Not at all.

After all, we don't know what Jesus looks like. Its not important what to know what we all look like either. Don't forget, we'll also be given a glorified body like Jesus in Heaven!

A very intersting observation! Perhaps this scripture also has meaning as to why. 2 Cor 10:5-7 We are destroying speculations, and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God,and we are taking EVERY thought captive to the obedinece of Christ,and we are ready to punish all disobedience, when your obedience is made complete.You are looking at things as they are outwardly.If anyone is confident in himself that he is Christ's, let him consider this again within himself,that just as he is Christ's so also are we. Its a good decision, Chad. While entertainment is not necessarily bad, we need to stick to our purpose which is to spread the Good News.

its a wise decision, i have no problem with it at all. its true, uploading photos derails us, i personally uploaded lots of photos, and i feel like its becoming like facebook, so yeah, thank God u disabled them. Thanks Chad.

I've always loved the sweet Spirit of God that dwelled here, but I never posted much because the forums always loaded really, really slow for me. Now, however, with the picture section disabled, it appears to load a lot quicker.

I think I'll come around a bit more. :wink:
