Whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith.
- 1 John 5:4

Years ago the devil started a rumor. He told a few Christians that as long as they lived in the world, they had to suffer as the world did. He told them they had to share the diseases and the defeat, the poverty and the failure of those around them. It was a crafty lie--and it worked. Believers accepted it and began to spread it among themselves. You may have even heard it yourself. If so, I want to help you put that rumor to rest today. I want to help you get the facts straight once and for all. You see, despite what you may have heard, health, prosperity and victorious living aren't concepts some comfort-hungry believer selfishly dreamed up. They are God's ideas. You may say, "That sounds good, Gloria, but we've got to be realistic. We live in a world that's full of problems. And as long as we live in this world, it seems to me we're going to have our share." Yes, that's true. Even Jesus said, "In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration." But notice, He didn't stop there! He went on to say, "But be of good cheer-- take courage, be confident, certain, undaunted--for I have overcome the world.-- I have deprived it of power to harm, have conquered it [for you]" (John 16:33, The Amplified Bible). Most believers don't have any trouble believing the first part of that verse. They know all too well how many tribulations, trials, distresses, and frustrations surround them. But they're less certain about the last part. They haven't yet experienced for themselves exactly what Jesus meant when He said He had deprived those things of power to harm them. Why not? Because they're still living as though they're part of the world. But, listen. Jesus said you and I are to be "sanctified," or separated from the evils of this world. How? Through the Word of God! (John 17:17). The Word of God will separate you from the world. His Word will set His dream for victory into motion in your life. If you'll receive it and believe it, speak it and act on it, that Word will set you apart from those around you. It will take you from trouble to triumph again and again.

Question, when you say word of God, I assume by your post you are referring to the scriptures but how does that fit with the scripture you referenced?

So everyone who is born of God overcomes the world how are we born of God? Is it by the scriptures or is it by HolySpirit?

good question, when I say the word of God I meen the words that Jesus spoke, He is the word of God, who speaks the words from God, as He say's in John 8:40, I told you the Truth I heard from God. also John 8:26, For I say only what I have heard from the one who sent Me. and in John 5:24, I assure you, those who listen to My message and believe in God who sent Me have Eternal Life. and John 6:29, This is what God wants you to do, believe the one He has sent. and John 6:63, It is the spirit who gives Eternal Life. Human effort accomplishes nothing. The Words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are Life. glory to God, I hope this will answer your question and bring peace to your mind. Faith, Love and Peace is all you need Jesus has done all the hd work Amen

Then your initial post seems very contradictory.

The devils lies. lies about sickness, poverty, sin, and so on glory to God. Faith, Love and peace is All you need Jesus has done All the hard work Amen.

Jhn 9:2&3 "Teacher," his disciples asked him, "why was this man born blind? Was it a result of his own sins or those of his parents?"
"It was not because of his sins or his parents' sins," Jesus answered. "He was born blind so the power of God could be seen in him.

Act 20:22&23 "And now I am going to Jerusalem, drawn there irresistibly by the Holy Spirit, [fn] not knowing what awaits me, except that the Holy Spirit has told me in city after city that jail and suffering lie ahead.

Rom 8:23 And even we Christians, although we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, also groan to be released from pain and suffering. We, too, wait anxiously for that day when God will give us our full rights as his children, including the new bodies he has promised us.

2Cr 1:7-11 We are confident that as you share in suffering, you will also share God's comfort. I think you ought to know, dear brothers and sisters, [fn] about the trouble we went through in the province of Asia. We were crushed and completely overwhelmed, and we thought we would never live through it.
In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we learned not to rely on ourselves, but on God who can raise the dead.
And he did deliver us from mortal danger. And we are confident that he will continue to deliver us. He will rescue us because you are helping by praying for us. As a result, many will give thanks to God because so many people's prayers for our safety have been answered.

Do you consider these scriptures as misprints or typo's? There are many more scriptures which convey the same concerning suffering.

first of all the blind man who was blind from birth, was not a follower of Jesus when they first met, and if you look carefully at what the blind man did. first jesus spat and made mud put it on the blind mans eye's, then Jesus gave the blind man a task to do which was, " Go and wash your eye's at the pool at Siloam". Now this pool was about half to a mile away from where they were standing and there would have been many oppertunities to wash His eye's along the way, outside every doorway would have been water pot's to wash your feet before entering, He walked through a market place inorder to get to the pool, but the blind did exatly what Jesus told Him to do, which was wash His at the pool at Siloam. Just like the rich Nobleman who's son was sicK and at the point at death, and siad to Jesus come now before my son die's. and Jesus said to Him go your way, your son live's. and the Man believed the WORDS that Jesus said and went His way. and His son was Healed, and when He asked the time that the fever left, He realised it was the same time that Jesus spoke the WORDS. So if you wan't your healing you have to believe the WORDS of Jesus. Nehemiah the prophet wrote this, Nehemiah 8:10 And Nehemiah continued, "Go and celebrate with a feast of choice foods and sweets drinks, and share the gifts of food with people who have nothing prepared. This is a sacred day before the Lord, don't be DEJECTED or SAD for the JOY of the LORD is your fortified fortrass, your strength. And JESUS said in John 15:11, These thing I have Spoken to you. What did Jesus speak? [WORDS] so that My Joy might remain in you, and that your Joy may be Full. glory to God. James 1:2, Dear Brothers and Sisters, when trouble comes your way, let it be a oppertunity for JOY. glory to God Joy. did not paul say " Rejoice once again I say rejoice in the Lord, the God of My salvation. Hope this has opened your eye's to the truth bro. Faith, Love and peace is All you need Jesus has done All the hard work Amen.

Guess I should have made it a little more simple, the man was born blind by God so He (God) could manifest His power in the blind man and not because of a lack of faith on the blind man's part.

I am very familiar with the teaching you are propagating here and it does not lead to spiritual maturity. In fact the WOF teaching is so much about self promotion that if the devil was going to promote any kind of teaching it would be the WOF.

Who do you think inspired the scriptures I posted earlier?

Good thing I got here in time...... Picking on us WOF'ers again..........
Who could bear the wiles and scripture knowledge of the Jiggyfly??

Your going to read this different, We already discussed this scripture sometime in the past.

Joh 9:1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.
Joh 9:2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
Joh 9:3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
Joh 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
Joh 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

Joh 9:3 Jesus answered, "Neither this man nor his parents sinned. Instead, he was born blind so that God could show what he can do for him. GW

Two scriptures one from the KJV and one from God's Word translation.

Lets add some common sense................................. to the mix.

Would God need to make this one man blind to show his mighty power?

NO. There were lots of people healed and only a small portion was recorded. If God needs some type of Glory, there are plenty of blind and sick that got that way without God's help.

We need to compare other scriptures. Oppressed by the devil, Thief came to steal, kill and you know. NOT GOD. In fact, we don't have any other place God made someone sick to show his power. No place where he stole their sight.

In Deut 28 we see what happens if you do not pay attention to the Word of God and do as he says do. A whole list of nice sicknesess and poverty type things happen.

However............ Jesus said this was not due to anyone's sin.

We also have to conclude that God did not come to kill, steal or destroy.

Jas 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Is blindness a good and perfect gift???? Only if your a sadist, you might believe that. Lets stay positive though. Blindness is not a good thing. So for God to have a hand in that mans blindness would mean that

A) We don't know the difference between good and evil
B) James messed up a scripture verse, and should have thought about that blind man before writing James 1:17
C) Someone did not understand what Jesus was saying..........

I think we got a clear cut case of C!!!!!!

What was Jesus asked.................. Did the parents sin cause the mans blindness........

Jesus answered the question. He said it was not the parents or that mans sin that caused the blindness.

That was the end of the sentence. That question was answered.

Jesus kept on speaking though. He said...........

but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

but can be translated nevertheless, howbeit, Therefore............

The qualifying statement is underneath. (John 9:4)

Let me help out some............

Nevertheless that the works of God should be made manifest in him as I must do what God gave me to do and heal this man.

You bring me your broke car........... You ask me..... Is my car broke because of that bus I hit. NO, that is not what caused your car to be broken, however You need to have it for work and I was told by my boss to fix it for you.

Act 20:22&23

and we are to compare ourselves and mighty christian walk with the Apostles of that time??? There is a very simple fact that if you preach the Word in hostile places (Iran??) you will run into persecution. We are promised that. If you face this in the USA, you need to call the police............. Nothing about sickness, poverty here..........

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Rom 8:23 And even we Christians, although we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, also groan to be released from pain and suffering. We, too, wait anxiously for that day when God will give us our full rights as his children, including the new bodies he has promised us.

Nice try Jiggyfly. There is nothing in any Greek text that denotes "Pain and Suffuring" Jumping around translations to make a point.........

What we do have is the Word Child as compared to son's............

Rom 8:17
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
Rom 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Rom 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

What is this saying?? The World is waiting for us to Grow up in the things of God. As children, we are weak and subject to the bondage of this World.

Eph 4:13
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Notice The Word Children as compared to sons??

Gal 4:1 Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;
Gal 4:2 But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.
Gal 4:3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:

1Co 13:11
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

2Co 1:9 But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:
2Co 1:10 Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;

That pretty much makes the point........ trust in God, get victory over everything!!!!!

Nice try Jiggyfly............:shade:

No go and listen to some Kenneth Copeland. Get some of that thinking fixed............

Be blessed!!!!

Jesus Is Lord.
