Visions

[Word of Life]

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone can shed some light to this, as I am getting rather disturbed by it now.

On most days, when I close my eyes to pray, I get these visions. Its more like I am in a tunnel, to the left and right of this tunnel like place, there is blackness at the sides and sometimes I see some terrible looking faces, without eyes, which I sense that this is evil. Up ahead of me in the distance of the tunnel in a fairly bright light, I see a figure of a man in a white robe, whith his arms stretched out, he is not speaking, but he wants me to move up towards him, thats what I sense anyway, last night again this happened and for the fist time I saw a dove flying above this man. This figure of a man, is sometimes very clear and I can see his face on other occasions it's blurry.

Any thoughts on this would greatly be appreciated. When I pray, the first words of scripture which come to mind are:

1. Believe
2. Do not fear
3. Trust me and be still

And also these scriptures come into my mind when talking to my Father.

Pro 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Pro 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Jam 4:7 ...................................Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

The devil wants to separate you from GOD, since he can't do it physically he plays on your fears and makes you believe that you cannot do it.
When you pray and these visions come concentrate on the man at the end of the tunnel and focus on the Word. (Try Psalm 91).

If you focus long enough on GOD then you will not see anything else. Evil will always be around you but cannot touch you unless you allow it.

Pray you get a brreakthrough.

Thank you HouseofJudah for your answer. I will focus on the light in the distance, when I pray and keep my thoughts on the Man. I feel this man could be an angel or Jesus, so I will focus on that.

I will also read Psalm 91.

I was also reading these scriptures earlier.

Rom 8:36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Rom 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

Rom 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Rom 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The man that is around the dove got to be Jesus in your vision.... Because with evil face is around the demons would try to fear you right? well that man and the dove on that time is god the Holy spirit and Jesus he is there to protect you it is showing that he is protecting you from the enemy.... i can get prophetic now!!!!! It is the sign that you keep trusting the lord from the fear amen...... also i want to note that you can get the feeling of a dark place and being alone but i don't no if you smell death in the spiritual form but anyway I feel if Jesus is trying to set you free from something that you even no of that is effecting in you....

Life I feel if that the lord is saying that it also showing that you need get a :boy_hug: bit closer that you can Get closer to the lord like never before:embarasse Man that I need but anyways Im not saying it bad that look like a vision that your gonna draw even closer to God like never before:girl_hug: ......mg:

Thanks Stylez4Christ for your replies and yes I think you are right, coz I wrote to a brother in Christ about this too and I got a reply and he told me something similar, to what you are saying, the Father wants me to draw closer to Him. That's wonderful. :star:

A lot of my interests have changed too, like I used to play a particular computer game a lot and surf the net a lot too, watch tv every evening, read stupid magazines, but over the last months and more recently, that has all changed and I feel they are not important to me any more, the Holy Spirit has been slowly teaching me what's important in life and what isn't and changing me slowly. Some things just have to go and the more obedient we are to Him, He will bless us spiritually. :star:

I do spend a lot of time in my prayer room, which is my car, I go out to the garage and just sit there for a while and talk to our Father. You see about 6 weeks or more ago, when I prayed, which wasn't much, coz I spent more time talking to our Father then actually praying and the first thoughts which came to my mind after praying, that He was telling me I wasn't praying enough, so I changed and made sure I prayed at least 3 or more times a day now, spending time with Him is extremely important. He is in my thoughts all day though, He has to be. :star:

Last night I changed my way of praying again, by just praising Him and thanking Him in tongues. I feel that He has led to me this too, coz all I kept doing when praying and talking to Him was about all my problems and of course I always felt depressed and unhappy, even after prayer I felt unhappy. But if we all just went to prayer and worshipped Him, praised Him, He will direct our thoughts and all our problems will seem less important. So this is what I am doing now, by trying to spend more time glorifying Him, I feel, I will learn that He must come first and my interests must come later. I was speaking in tongues, praising Him, singing to Him last night and because I had no idea what I was saying and it sounded rather funny, I started laughing and my problems felt far less important. :star:

Word of Life, Greetings in Jesus.

Your dream is strange, I find that I cannot make a judgement. But I can give some pointers.

Nothing sinister can enter into our lives unless we have opened a way, or made a way for it to enter. Powers of darkness cannot intrude, unless we have given access either past or present.

If I were in your situation and seeing such, my reaction would be to speak in tongues. Or plead the blood of Jesus. Something to test the thing observed. Doing such will surely make it run if it is not of Him.

Hello Stephen, thank you for your message and I agree and do understand your answer, because yes, I have had an open door, it's a bit personal so I don't want to say too much at the moment. But I am trying to close that door, some days, my mind is a battle field and it's all about changing your heart, it's been a huge struggle. Basically, I haven't let go of something in my heart. It's all about changing.

One of the other verses God led me too, was this verse.

1Jo 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

I will continue to speak in tongues, praising God, coz this is helping me. :star:

Sometimes the lord tells me things that sort of no about the person case like yersterday this man I was talking to last night was having big problem and ask all the things that he is going through and I was right I guest not one question is wrong Now in your case, it can be other things rather then drawing closer to God. I feel if that there are other things but I also feel if that your doing just find but i do got my problems also lol

You say that your mind is a battlefield. (You may be aware already of the things I say). If it were me, and I am no different from anyone else in that I have had mental battles, with the enemy.
I have already said, I would speak in tongues...... but ceaselessly, whenever under attack. Paul said "I speak in tongues more than anyone" The bible also says that the person who speaks in an unknown tongue "speaketh mysteries unto God"

The word "mysteries" means secrets. No one will understand but God alone. He will hear these things, and will over-rule all things, for His glory.

I will pray for you Word of Life, let God Almighty reach into heart; and mind.

I was put through a great test more than a year ago, the result was submission to God. Some practical advice would be for you to surrender your thoughts to Him, do not contradict His ways, for the spirit is against the flesh and the flesh against the spirit.

The Lord God knows all emotions and thoughts, He wants you to be still IN Him. Rest in His presence, abide by His Words, listen and have faith in His promises. That is what makes a righteouss servant of God.

I was put through a great test more than a year ago, the result was submission to God. Some practical advice would be for you to surrender your thoughts to Him, do not contradict His ways, for the spirit is against the flesh and the flesh against the spirit.

Yes, I am sure this what I am going through. I am focusing more on God. Today, was my first day back at work, after having being on shutdown over the December period. Yesterday, I brought myself a nice little CD player for work and as I am working, I am listening to some lovely praise and worship songs. Its helping me a lot and it's helping me to focus more and only on God and I feel very peaceful. :star:
