visions

Hi all. i was wondering if someone could help me.
lately i have been getting vivid visions. i was aware a couple of years ago i got them, but lately they have been increasing as ive increased in God.
so if there is someone around that has been through a similar situation, i would realy like to know how to utilize them, and find more information about it.
ive been told these visions are very prophetic, so i dont want the gift God has given me to go to waste, but i also don't want to run with it, with the wrong idea or heart etc. if you can help me that would awesome!

Hi sister Erin. This is great news assuming these visions are absolutely from the Holy Spirit. First thing I would do for sure is pray on this for discernment and explanation from GOD.

Now, I'm not sure if your comfortable posting what these visions are, here but if you'd like to post, go ahead. I think it may be a good idea while some here might have the gift to discern these things.

Glad to see you are talking about it sister. Do you know that visions have been prophecised about since the Old Testament right through to the New Testament? It's quite amazing!

It is first mentioned in the book of Joel, in the Old Testament:

Joel 2:28-29
28 "And afterward,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your old men will dream dreams,
your young men will see visions.

29 Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days.

Feel free to read Joel sometime, it's only 3 short Chapters

It is then repeated in the book of Acts:

Acts 2:16-18
16No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:
17" 'In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams.
18Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days,
and they will prophesy.
