My Brothers and sisters in Christ! I am going to relate to you today through ( Joshua 6:1-20) A story that few ever see or read from.As I myself only know in part, please allow me to explain the part of Jesus in this, that has been so true to me over the years in my own life.Over much of our childhood,we build walls, not just to keep others away, but rather to protect us from what is unknown, and some things, well we just do not want to know about ourselves.6:1 Now Jericho was tightly shut because of the sons if Isreal; no one went out and no one came in. We do this as well in our own lives, through many reasons we all have in doing this, and no matter what others think or say,it only matters what we think, for who knows ourselves better then we do? How many walls we build depends on what each of us has gone through in our lives, some walls, we never believe will be,or even can be brought down. And do you know what I found out about this?? We are correct!! However I found a mighty force that if allowed, and if done according to his Word, can be brought down.It requires action on our part,it requires us to do something that is so hard and difficult, that only God himself in us can accomplish this very difficult task! First I have found out, I must be willing to do this.2.Next i must have instructions to carry this off,and not have to worry if this is going to work or fail! In Joshua 6:2 the Lord told Joshua something,so this means I have to be aware there is a problem with my walls to start with. Now the Lord told Joshua, and gave him instructions as to how to bring these walls down, notice I said these walls, because other walls we have built have to have perhaps different instructions by the Lord in us,to tumble them down.Because these walls did not involve just one person,Joshua had to go and give instructions to the Priests of Nun,Notice something here please! There was no argument, there was no grumbling, and!! there was NO DOUBT! NOT ONE! So I realized that the walls I wanted to be brought down in my own life, had to come with no doubt, with purpose, with a final goal in mind! The children of Isreal trusted Joshua!! WOW! What they trusted was not Joshua but God in Joshua,as we must do for ourselves! Now the process, the will, and the battle begins, yet here all during this time of 20 verses,no doubt was spoken,or fear brought to anyones attention? why? There must of been one poor soul among them that doubted! The reason there was no doubt,is because all of these people had one mind in there task to carry out,for those who could not believe this, were not among the people. Each day they did what was instructed, and on the seventh day Verse 20 The People shouted!! and the priest blew there trumpets and it came about when the people HEARD!!! the sound of the trumpet that the people shouted with a great shout, humm an expecting shout!! an assurance shout!Indeed!! Our walls can be brought down, but we have to do something to bring them down,Having Faith in Jesus, does not bring the walls down!! Action because we believe does! The Walls, the Lord in me have brought down.1. the wall of fear,2. the wall of love, because without fear, why we can have love! amen!3. the wall of opinion, not being mad or angry because someone does not agree with me about matters.4. The wall of judgment, this was a tough wall!! To be honest it is fun to judge others, because in doing so we take our mind off of ourselves! notice please there is one wall I am working on!! that of trust! this wall is so large in me,because I have never had a reason to trust others, not even the Lord, but through our Jesus he is instructing me,and I am working hard in following him, in this.I lack much, but no longer do I lack purpose, and this is what I am encouging you all in.Have purpose in your own life! Give yourself a reason, to bring down some walls,I have found I am seeing many situations far better, when I am not building a wall between the Lord and myself. And slowly but surly through HIM,I am able to follow better,as I am to old now to climb high walls! Find out what walls have seperated you from Jesus? Then, through prayer, and his Word, become instructed, then follow his instructions, because in so doing, you will shout at the end,and give Glory to our Jesus, because you my dear brothers and sisters, can see,and by seeing you can possess, that which our Heavenly Father wants you to have!! HIS LOVE!! and by this!! You can help others to tear down there walls that they put up to keep us out, because they will see that you have torn down your walls,to see them! And you shouted out to them that Jesus LOVES YOU!! TO!!! amen!!Love creates faith, which causes action, which bring results! Jesus is LOVE,and so are we in him! My this bless your thinking today, and give you hope,to create that which has always been in you,LOVE!

Over much of our childhood, we build walls, not just to keep others away, but rather to protect us from what is unknown, and some things, well we just do not want to know about ourselves.6:1

Now Jericho was tightly shut because of the sons if Isreal; no one went out and no one came in. We do this as well in our own lives, through many reasons we all have in doing this, and no matter what others think or say, it only matters what we think, for who knows ourselves better then we do?

In Joshua 6:2 the Lord told Joshua something, so this means I have to be aware there is a problem with my walls to start with. Notice something here please! There was no argument, there was no grumbling, and!! there was NO DOUBT! NOT ONE! Our walls can be brought down, but we have to do something to bring them down, Having Faith in Jesus, does not bring the walls down!! Action because we believe does!

The Walls, the Lord in me have brought down.
1. the wall of fear,
2. the wall of love, because without fear, why we can have love! amen!
3. the wall of opinion, not being mad or angry because someone does not agree with me about matters.

Oh the walls we build that keep us focused on ourselves rather than Christ. Excellent post of encouragement, bright.

You say, "We do this as well in our own lives, [not allowing anyone in or allowing ourself out?] through many reasons we all have in doing this, and no matter what others think or say, it only matters what we think, for who knows ourselves better then we do?" My question is what do you mean by 'it only matters what we think"? And WHO does know ourselves better than we do?

This is really good.
Thanks for sharing
may every wall that would try to keep out God's blessing and power and truth of His word come down!

Thanks to sun for the fine writing, and to sweetlygrowing for her encourgement as always! It matters only what we think, because we know ourselves and our motives better then anyone else, who tells us what we should do. However if what they say lines up with God's Word, then it is up to us to allow them to help, which of course, we should! Blessing again!! and thanks sun for your fine writing skills!

You're very welcome as always, bright. Now, if a literary agent or a publisher would see the tiny bit of writing skills, take on my manuscripts with the intent that we both earn millions I would be a happy camper..... Well, ok a few hundred would be nice to pay the rent and utilities. :groupwave: lol
