I have no scripture to back up my opinion,but some of the things Paul writes and the history of that day leads me to think he was.
He may have been a widower when Christ called him or maybe he left her behind taken care of as Peter did.

Some things that point me in that direction:
He said about the stoning of Stephen,he voted in favor.
To be able to vote you had to be a member of the "Sanhedren"? and you could only be a member if you were married. Also as a Pharisee at age 30 you had to be married or werent considered a man.

I could be all wet as usual but thats how i see it. For now.

Have you even read the Bible? you can't have read your bible, to make A statement like that.:confused:

Was Paul married?

You Are A Deceiver. And A Diverter. then maybe not.

I getting to think you are not a reader. and reading is your enemy or you are lazy. or maybe you might have a Handicap. now that could be. and I can except all of those above.

PB, I agree it's a daft question but no need to be abusive mate.

What is wrong with the question brother? Is it not possible he was married at one time? Could the reasons i gave for thinking so be valid?

The answer to the question is 1 Corinthians 7:7-8.

The reason I'm thinking it's a daft question is, when you consider all the amazing truths, promises, and answers Paul gives us, why does it matter whether he's married or not? Made me smile, that's all.

Have a lovely Sabbath day bro.

In that 8th verse he also mentioned widowed.
Have blessed day

1Co 9:5 Don’t we have the right to bring a believing wife with us as the other apostles and the Lord’s brothers do, and as Peter does?
1Co 9:6 Or is it only Barnabas and I who have to work to support ourselves? (NLT)

Paul was not married.

So I am being Abusive, and he is not, way much more? OK, I understand. So says, Utah, concerning removing the Bible from children eyes, for the Bible is Abusive too, Big time. would not you agree. the language in there. or are you bias, and are you also in recommendation as perceive in making the Bible language more user friendly and more kinder and remove all the harsh words and violent words from its pages. as they are doing. Or are you Just cherry picking in Bias ways, and you pick the mouth that the words come out of and that is who you are against, Which way do you fall? as the wind blows, and you choose which wickedness you prefer. and you decides which one is more harmful, the target individual, or he that that aim at The Masses? Which is more cruel.

And if this is being Abusive again, I do not apologize! "A little leaven, Leavens the whole lump" their are young children and many teens reading some of these posts, they have no where to go for "Sound unadulterated Biblical TRUTH" but only "Speculations and confusion throw at Their Feet" Christians who are unlearn, and only speak their own corrupted minds. and they CARE not for the people of this land, The young children, the young adults, the ones who are looking for "TRUTH" and not opinions, For Opinions and speculations are ungodly counsel. and so many running around spreading nothing but dress up lies,

as if they have read the Bible and did their own deep research, and many have spent most of their lives in "Iniquity" and when they get old and come to the realization that death is around the corner, they think they can just jump right out of the window or sneak in The Window, or come in through a side door, or enter into The avenue through the back door. and it is ok. in order, to make up for all the wrong they have done, have said and all the wrong they have thought for all of those past years, Now they are trying, but only using the same tactics, that they used in The World and now they are "ChristLIKE"! instantaneously the day they have received "The Holy Ghost" or some preacher told them to repeated after them this prayer, and after repeating it, the preacher said to them: "Now you are "Born AgaiN" you are saved, now go out and tell somebody! and you must be "Baptize" and then they say to them when they come out of The water, now you are saved. Now go witness. Please:pensive: {There are Millions who are like this walking this world like this, and on their way to Hell] and speaking about religious things and they have do idea what they are talking about and saying thus says the Lord. And others christians only treat such ways "LUKE WARM" for they are neither "COLD or HOT" they treat these kind of People "Luke WARM" and it is shame, They have no idea what it means to "Sound The ALARM":pensive:
But for me. I am not a christian, I would never be like one of them! "For I am A "CHILD of THE LIVING GOD" being molded into The Image of HIS only SON" and I love to read His WORD. and that is where I spend most of my time, for almost 50 years and My LORD is the One who takes count of The Hours I have spent There. He knows my numbers. {where does A Child of God, spends most of His time?}

Isaiah 11 NKJV

1There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse,
And a Branch shall [c]grow out of his roots.
2The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him,
The Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
The Spirit of counsel and might,
The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.
3His delight is in the fear of the Lord,
And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes,
Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;

4But with righteousness He shall judge the poor,
And decide with equity for the meek of the earth;
He Shall Strike The Earth With The Rod Of His Mouth,
AND WITH THE BREATH OF HIS LIPS HE SHALL SLAY THE WICKED.

5Righteousness shall be THE BELT of His loins,
And faithfulness THE BELT OF His waist. {Drawn Tight!] For the fight!

And The world hates me for who I am, and I am Going to Stand for "The TRUTH" to the day I die or he comes back 1st. I will not wave or Compromise with the wind!

Here is the difference between me and another!

New International Version
All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ anything beyond this comes from THE EVIL ONE.

New Living Translation
Just say a simple, ‘Yes, I will,’ or ‘No, I won’t.’ Anything beyond this is from THE EVIL ONE.

English Standard Version
Let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything more than this COMES FROM EVIL.

Others have no idea what these words means. But they have their own definitions, like they do all of "HOLY SCRIPTURE"!

Berean Standard Bible
Simply let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ Anything more
COMES FROM THE EVIL ONE.

Men lie, GOD's WORD Don't!

Now Behold those who are "The LUKE WARM"

At that time. But 10 years earlier???

It has gotten so bad that even bible reading Christians do not even know what "Sound Doctrine" is any more and they do not even care!

They have fallen away from the faith, and that lets us, who are faithful to "The TRUTH of GOD", that he is even At the DOOR! so the more christians speak their own minds,, and not the mind of Christ we Know, he is at The DOOR!

New King James Version
But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”

New American Standard Bible
But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me; for you are not setting your mind on God’s purposes, but men’s.”

Colossians 3:2
"Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things."
Matthew 4:10
"Away from Me, Satan!" Jesus declared. "For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God and serve Him only.'"

@Christ4Ever
Why do you think Paul was never married.
I believe the history of the Pharisees and his place in the hierarchy points to it. Kinda,sorta,maybe.

Dear Brother,
I do believe that the ability to fully dedicate oneself to God, was the reason Paul did not marry, but this is not of certainty and in truth is conjecture on the part of many. Looking to 1 Corinthians chapter 7 which has already been mentioned, will provide you some insight into this, and Paul's reasoning on not marrying. The verse about widowed, was more about not remarrying then it was about him having been married and then widowed.

For I wish that all men were even as I myself. But each one has his own gift from God, one in this manner and another in that. 8 But I say to the unmarried and to the widows: It is good for them if they remain even as I am; 1 Corinthians 7:7-8 NKJV

To remain even as he was, meant unmarried. V7 leads one to this conclusion "For I wish that all men were even as I myself." Meaning unmarried, otherwise if widowed was intended in this sentence, it would then mean that Paul was desirous that all the married women would be dead so that men could be widowed. I don't think so! :)

I hope this helps and provides a little clarity.

With the Love of Christ Jesus.
