Yes, sadly I think that much of the church is in poor shape. I'd be happy if we spent less energy attacking red flags, and more on the basic of Christian life: prayer, forgiveness, serving each other, kindness, ministering to people in need, sharing hope, meditating on the Word and putting it's wisdom into practice, joining together to worship our heavenly father.

It proves Christianity is just as destructive as the world; for where was the love of God in the destruction of a statue that can not speak or think or bless or curse.

But these things will happen that the scriptures be fulfilled.
They didn't understand His words before the cross, and apparently (they) still don't.
Yep Christianity is/ can be just as evil and destructive as the carnal world.
So who was this man serving in his destruction?
And by his one destructive action, how many true Christians will suffer?

Even brother Paul did not destroy their idols, he went in and told them of the Christ of God.

Now do we know Christ or not?
It sure would have been a good opportunity to use the display and preach the Gospel of God to those who do not know Him.

If we see a brother or sister in need, or even anyone, why, when The Lord has bestowed grace and liberty, life and abundant grace, can we not be His instrument rather than expecting Him to do what He asks us to do?
