I've been curious as to what other religions believe in. Like Catholics, Muslims, JW & others. If anyone here is part of one of these religions or has knowledge of one or more of these religions it would help my curiosity out big time. I've just always wondered what faith other religions believe.

The Largest main World Religions in order are:
  • Christianity: 2.1 billion.
  • Islam: 1.3 billion.
  • Hinduism: 900 million.
  • Buddhism: 376 million.
  • Sikhism: 23 million.
  • Judaism: 14 million.

I work with a lot of Muslims at my job. From my conversations with them, I can tell you that they do believe in Jesus Christ. Just not as the Son of God or Savior. They believe that he was a prophet. Which makes no sense to me, as that would make him a lying profit, since he specifically said he is the Son of God and the Messiah! And why would one care about a lying prophet?

Yeah now see you're getting somewhere with answering my question Brother John, I haven't had it happen just yet but I hear of JW knocking on doors & I would like to know what it is they believe in. Them & other religions.

JW believe Jesus is a "created" being. Jesus is a god, but a "lesser" God than the Father. They do not believe Jesus Christ created all things, only some things. They do not believe that God the Father and the Son of God are equal. They believe that when a person is cast into lake of fire, they are inhalated and vanish into nothing. In other words they do not believe in eternal torment.

Thank you!!!!!! I just checked that out & was shocked a bit. I'd like to mention something about reincarnation... I don't believe it is what so ever.

If people were t be reincarnated do they use the same soul & stay the same being just in a different body or form? I mean do they think that they are reincarnated into say a butterfly or a maggot maybe fecal matter? Or do they think that they are reincarnated into another human body, same soul, same person just maybe a male this time around or a different race? And why hasn't a reincarnated person gone to find their loved ones & stop by for a cup of coffee to catch up on the times? They could see their great grand kids & play with them at the park.

My point is reincarnation just sounds dumb. Minds are a terrible thing to waste lol

Praise God he wired me the way he has & I love him because he chose lil ole me.

There have been quite a few apologetics threads here on TJ over the last few years.

When you say Christianity, usually those statistics include all groups that call themselves Christians,
but generally don't believe the Bible as the authority. It's difficult to split the Christian groups out.

JWs also believe Jesus wasn't resurrected in the flesh, but became a spirit being (Michael the arch-angel).
JWs also do not believe in the trinity.

Mormons believe that Jesus was once just a man like us. But became a god. (They believe there are many gods).
They believe almost everyone goes to heaven whether you believe in Jesus or not. But the Jesus they believe in,
is not the Jesus of the Bible. (they say it is... but they add many other things, like sexual relations with Mary
Magdelene) that aren't in the Bible.

Since they don't read the Bible, their Quran does not acknowledge Jesus saying this.
