What does it mean that the enemy of humanity wants to steal, kill, and destroy us humans?

First, our enemy's, and, as in the Gadarene, our enemy is legion, unceasing interactions with humanity is to fight us in every little thing we try to do or to make our lives as miserable as we let it, in attempt to steal from us the joy of the Lord which is our strength. If we have a moment or two of joy and hapiness, our enemy is hard at work to put an end to it or steal it from us. The enemy had to ask to mess with Job because he was near in his heart to God and God was near to him, We give permission for the enemy to mess with us by our words and deeds which are far from God and far from what a human obeying God and the whole Bible really means and looks like, which is God/Jesus.

Second, our enemy would much rather us to be dead than to have us influence other humans towards God, in word and deed, like giving thanks to God/Jesus for the fight our enemy brings, knowing God has us anyhow. Our enemy does not care if we believe in it and would have it that we don't but it more so works that a human does not know about or knows the One: God/Jesus who is more than mere human and sovereign over our enemy, having mercy on whom He will.

Lastly, the most sinister thing our enemy wants to do to us humans is to make it that we permit it to drag our souls to hell with it, where it knows it is going, or it wants for our eternal self-harm like that which it has purchased or chosen for itself.

The Bible says don't worry about humans or our enemy which may only kill us physically. Our chief consideration must be the One: God/Jesus, who alone makes determination of where we, soul and body, might live forever more.

Greetings,

thank you for sharing this with us.
I suppose a question might be asked, what then can we or should we or must we do in the light of what you have shared?

Most people [or humans?] ignore the things you have shared here [to their confusion and detriment and often to the detriment and/or harm of others] and don't really give a stuff. They are far too busy being worldlings in near everything they do, often only giving lip service to God/Jesus. Then they call out for help or attack [in different ways, not necessarily physically] others when things get a little tight or threatening, rather than being able to trust in the Lord as you have touched on here.

Bless you ....><>

Grateful for the encouragement my brother and God/Jesus' brother in humanity. We get so little from mere humans even though we can clearly see that the day is approaching.

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for He is faithful that promised; ) and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Hebrews 10:23-25

Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.
Psalm 31:24

And the LORD,
He it is that doth go before thee;
He will be with thee,
He will not fail thee,
neither forsake thee:
fear not,
neither be dismayed.
Deuteronomy 31:8
