What is a Helpmate??

This oddly enough was my question in prayer this morning.The answer I recieved back from the Holy Spirit may or may not surprise you.

Love as you all know has many forms to it. For a tree we plant,and take care of we love,but not as much as we love our animals.The animals that we love,we do not love more then a friend,and that friend we love,we do not love more then our own brother sister,Father or Mother. At least not usually!

This being mostly true,the man or woman that we being led by our Lord to come to,we love as Christ loved the Church,and!! gave himself for it.Meaning the man is 100 percent for the woman,and the woman is 100 percent for her man. As I have never married,please forgive me being so forthright on a subject I seldom talk about.The Holy Spirit then said,this love between a man and a woman,is due to my love being poured out in there midst.meaning that the man the woman marrys should be the closest she ever gets to being Jesus on earth,the Man should be the perfect example of Christ true love not just for her,but since she is a part of him,for himself.( matt 19:5-6 and mark 10:7-9) They join and become one not just with each other,but with the Lord in them.

The result is that whatever they say or do, they have a lasting effect on others that see them,or talk to them,always being with one mind,and always showing love, to each other,for how can they themsleves love,without having this for each other?

I know there are many circustances tht you all could say,can seperate the 2. I understand this,but the purpose to getting married at least to me,is that both of you become one in Christ,and with this,a great example to others,for Christ. Blessing all! Eph 5:22-33

Gen.2:18. God saw that his work was not complete and could not reproduce his kind alone; so He made an 'helpmeet' for him to enable him to propagate his kind. Gen.1:28. 1.Tim.2.11. 1.Cor.11.9.

A help suitable to man intellectually, morally, and physically - as his counterpart.

I just wanted to add that God provided Eve as a suitable Helpmeet (not mate) after it was noted by God there was NO Suitable Helper for Adam. Then God created woman out of the man. So the perfect Helpmeet for a man is woman (female version of Adam).

GE 2:19 Now the LORD God had formed out of the ground all the beasts of the field and all the birds of the air. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. 20 So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds of the air and all the beasts of the field.
But for Adam no suitable helper was found. 21 So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs and closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

GE 2:23 The man said,
"This is now bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called `woman,'
for she was taken out of man."

GE 2:24 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.

Man and Woman are to come together.

This is so LOVELY!! This has to be by far my very favorite romance story ever! I was just thinking this week about how beautiful the analogy of Jesus and the church are, and I thought to myself how perfect that union would be. I am only 19 so I didn't really know if my understanding of the union was correct, but now I see it is. Every night I pray that I can be a perfect Godly wife for some man some day. A woman that is the perfect helpmate. And most importantly, I want the love of our union to affect and touch the lives of all those around us, because I really feel like our world needs an example of true love... especially my generation. I just hope God can work in my life to spread that love through to all my peers.

God did not make men and women wired differently to cause problems. In order to be helpmates for each other all life's work is covered when the two sexes are together. But they have to be really together. They both need to be engaged fully in their marriage even when there is a bump in the road. To have the best marriage and fireproofing the marriage against divorce, God does need to be in their lives. He puts love in their hearts that comes from Him, and that is the best love their is. He imparts wisdom and strength to withstand all the storms. A Christian should definitely marry in the Lord, otherwise it is like oil and water. The two just don't mix. But marriage between two Christians living for God is a beautiful thing.
