The Orthodox cross holds a deep significance in Christianity. It represents the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The top beam symbolizes the sign that was hung above Jesus' head, declaring Him as the King of the Jews. The slanted lower beam represents the footrest, reminding us of the thief who repented and was promised a place in paradise by Jesus. The three horizontal bars symbolize the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Wearing an Orthodox cross is a way for believers to display their faith and remind themselves of Christ's sacrifice and love.
