I love powerfull prayers ones that you say to urself when on the train or in the supermarket the ones that fill you with love for Jesus just a few simple words
The one i love is one my father uses in his line of work it is used alot by AA members it is very powerfull.

God grant me the serenity

To accept the things i cannot change

The strenght to change the things i can

And the wisdom to know the difference

I know this may sound superficial, but may favorite prayer is the Lords prayer, truly it is ;)

Matthew 6:9-15 (New International Version)

9"This, then, is how you should pray:
" 'Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10your kingdom come,
your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
11Give us today our daily bread.
12Forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.' 14For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Prayer...

Hi Mounty,

What is your favorite prayer? What a great subject, I've two favorite prayers they are found in Paul's letter to the Ephesians. The first is Eph 1:13-19 All about praying for revelation and knowing God and knowing that God's inheritance is actually in us, his saints, what a mind blower!

The second prayer is Eph 3: 14-21 An awesome prayer about being empowered by the Holy Spirit so that Christ may settle down and be comfortable in our hearts by faith so we don't quench or grieve him... The rest of the prayer is totally amazing.

I make these prayers personal – me for you and my for your etc - when I pray them for myself and I've found there are no greater prayers to pray for opening up your spiritual understanding to the great truths of the Bible.

Blessings,

Tony

Beat me to it :P The first one espescially. This whole post in fact reflects my prayers in many ways. Like you, I want to understand everything in God's word. There is nothing more important than knowing God, and understanding his word. I think once you have that everything else falls into place. If you know God you will love him, and if you understand his word you will have the only valuable wisdom for living in this time, and the next.

I Love The Lord's Prayer, its truly Powerful as long as you pray it with all your heart, mind & soul and not like some recitation..Not only has He allowed us to call Him Father, but that He invites us to make His will be done in our lives as it's ALWAYS done In Heaven.etc....

John 17

I have recently been focussing on Jesus' prayer for his disciples, in Jonh 17. It is amazing!

Each time I read it, I see a new "face" of Jesus. In this prayer, He prays for us and for those that will hear the word of God through us.

When I think of how Jesus prayed for us then, it makes me realise just how real Jesus' love is and our work on Earth.

It is really amazing....I can't get over it....somebody stop me...no wait! Allow me to be ecstatic for Jesus!!!

hehe Mounty that first prayer is so cool. :)

Mine how ever is not backed up by scriptures as such but it speaks to all i recon... it's sort of a riddle but it's powerful if you understand it.

Lord, Set My Awkward steps straight in Line, Move me to walk this life with your have in mine.

well thats that. yey, feel free to PM or comment if you don't follow it. :)

Love Abraxix Storm!!!

That's so true hadirfuss, I agree with you 100%! The thing I like about it is that it speaks to my life, my daily life, it's a prayer that fulfills all my needs, like only God can

God bless you my friend

I love the Lord's prayer, I don't say it all the time, but sometimes I get the overwhelming feeling to say it and mean every word of it. I say it slowly and ponder over its meaning.
And of course the prayers where I am really honest and just give everything up to God, those deep heartfelt, gut wrenching prayers where I am crying. those are the best. Man I feel so cleansed and refreshed afterwards. God is awesome!

My favourite prayer is:

All Praises for the Lord of all the worlds, The Compassionate, The Merciful, The Lord of the Day of Judgment.
We worship you alone and we seek your help.
Guide us to the Straight Path, the Path of those you have favoured, and not of those who earned your anger, nor of those who went astray.
Ameen!
