Well, I read about water and they say is the healthy thing to drink and it dose allot of good care to your body. So now what dose the bible say about the water because I believed it cleanse our body physically but not just spiritually..

Water is very important, that why I believed rain is a blessing under the heavens.

Re: Water.....Best to drink

"Daniel then said to the guard whom the chief official had appointed over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, 'Please test your servants for ten days: Give us nothing but vegetables to eat and water to drink. Then compare our appearance with that of the young men who eat the royal food and treat your servants in accordance with what you see'. At the end of the ten days, they looked healthier and better nourished than any of the young men who ate the royal food." (Da 1:11-13, 15)

That would seem to indicate that water was the healthiest drink available in biblical times just as clean water is now. Of course, in those days water and wine was all they had.

I found this about water.

1. THE IMPORTANCE OF WATER AND HUMAN HEALTH

“I’m dying of thirst!”

Well. We just might. It sounds so simple. H20. Two parts hydrogen, one part oxygen. But this element, better known as water, is the most essential, next to air, to our survival. Water truly is everywhere, still most take it for granted.

Water makes up more than two thirds of the weight of the human body, and without it, humans would die in a few days. The human brain is made up of 95% water, blood is 82% and lungs 90%. A mere 2% drop in our body’s water supply can trigger signs of dehydration: fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on smaller print, such as a computer screen. (Are you having trouble reading this? Drink up!) Mild dehydration is also one of the most common causes of daytime fatigue. An estimated seventy-five percent of Americans have mild, chronic dehydration. Pretty scary statistic for a developed country, where water is readily available through the tap or bottle.

Water is important to the mechanics of the human body. The body cannot work without it, just as a car cannot run without gas and oil. In fact, all the cell and organ functions made up in our entire anatomy and physiology depend on water for their functioning.

* Water serves as a lubricant
* Water forms the base for saliva
* Water forms the fluids that surround the joints.
* Water regulates the body temperature, as the cooling and heating is distributed through perspiration.
* Water helps to alleviate constipation by moving food through the intestinal tract and thereby eliminating waste- the best detox agent.
* Regulates metabolism

In addition to the daily maintainence of our bodies, water also plays a key role in the prevention of disease. Drinking eight glasses of water daily can decrease the risk of colon cancer by 45%, bladder cancer by 50% and it can potentially even reduce the risk of breast cancer. And those are just a few examples! As you follow other links on our website, you can read more in depth about how water can aid in the prevention and cure of many types of diseases, ailments and disorders that affect the many systems of our bodies.

And you know what the best news about drinking water for health benefits is? It's virtually free! You can drink over 4,000 glasses of tap water for the price of a six-pack of your favorite cola.

That would seem to indicate that water was the healthiest drink available in biblical times just as clean water is now. Of course, in those days water and wine was all they had.

Found in Boston Globe:
An average adult body is 50 to 65 percent water -- that's roughly 45 quarts. Men are more watery than women. A man's body is 60 to 65 percent water, compared to 50 to 60 percent for a woman. In infants, the figure is a whopping 70 percent according to statistics compiled by the International Bottled Water Association.

``That's mostly for cushioning,'' says Felicia Busch, a spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association and specialist on the nutritional effects of water. ``Because of the birth process, they need a lot of cushioning.''

Water content differs throughout the body. Blood is made up of 83 percent water, bones are 22 percent water, and muscle is 75 percent water.

Men have more water in their bodies because they generally have more muscle mass than women, says Busch. There is no water in fat, she says, and women generally have a higher percentage of body fat than men.

We need to replenish the water content to keep our bodies in balance, however, moderation in all things. Since this week there was a report of a woman dying from Water hyponatremia. Too much water can affect the brain and other parts but she had drank 2 gallons in 3 hours.

I think we need to bear in mind the question that was asked. What does the Bible say about water or what to drink?

1 Timothy 5:23 NKJV
23 No longer drink only water, but use a little wine for your stomach’s sake and your frequent infirmities.

Luke 12:29-31 NKJV
29 “And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind. 30 For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things. 31 But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.

Romans 14:16-18 NKJV
16 Therefore do not let your good be spoken of as evil; 17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. 18 For he who serves Christ in these thingsis acceptable to God and approved by men.

1 Corinthians 10:31 NKJV
Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

1 Corinthians 11:25 NKJV
In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”

1 Corinthians 11:29 NKJV
For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.

Colossians 2:16 NKJV
So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths,

So to sum it up, drink what you like. No one can tell you to drink water and no can tell what to eat. Do what you like and do it for the Glory of GOD.

God bless

Sure we can drink what we like. The Bible doesn't command us to drink water. But, I think that the story in Daniel gives testimony as to the value of water. Also, since God made sure that the Israelites had water to drink during the Exodus, that would seem to testify to its value.

IMO, Its not just the water. Daniel and his friends were God's men. So whatever they eat, will turn good for them.
