Saw rhe word Easter in some encycl. It says it is the name of a Pagan goddess. Was wondering how that could be a religious title for the passover? Acts 12:4 Maybe after Easter meant The peoples were celebrating the pagan goddess and then when it was over they would bring Jesus out which was really the time of the passover.

Well...if I were you I'd just check wiki.

However Christianity has stolen most of it's holidays from paganism. After all, I'm not sure I know anyone who actually believes that Jesus was born on the 25th of December.

When Christendom came into her own she stole the existing festivals and changed them. That simple.
