I am somewhat confused.

What makes a Christian a mature Christian. I have been a born-again for several years now, yet I have a friend who says that I must become born-again. He is not born-again though. So I am not taking him seriously, since he probably aims to make fun of me.

Though, I am a bit worried...How does a mature Christian behave? I know that I still have ALOT to learn and learning about Jesus never seizes.

If I answer my own question, I would say that maturity is revealed in stability in Christ (O Lord my God. You are my rock and my fortress, my stronghold- Ps18) and the love of others which Christ loved us with.

Hebrews 5 vs 13, 14

"For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil."

The Bible says those who are of full age (mature) are those who exercise their faith, (by reason of use.)

Maturity...

Hi Zee,

Christian maturity is manifest in stability. But getting there is simply a matter of being Dependant on the Lord and less independent. Do you remember Jesus saying to the disciples they had to become like a little child if they wanted to enter into the kingdom of heaven. That simply means become Dependant on the King of heaven, Jesus. In Romans 5 Paul speaks of reigning in life through one Christ Jesus. That is the King on the inside of you reigning through you.

The life Jesus lived during the earthly part of His ministry was the pattern that Christians are to follow, and Jesus said of Himself, “I can do nothing of Myself...”
He was totally Dependant on His Father in Heaven, likewise we are to be totally Dependant on King Jesus and His Spirit within us if we are to reign in life.

Blessings,

Tony
