Who Am I
This came to me yesterday, while on the bus and I got the strangest reply.
I'm a painting, yeah seriously I started laughing with a little confusion.
I started thinking, when people look at me they try to create a story of who I am. This morning a guy asked " Espanol ", he thought I was Dominican. I thought it was funny and also a sign that I should brush up on my Spanish.
It's the same with a painting, a group of people would look at a piece and create their own story to describe it. Some will come close to what the artist was trying to express, others conjure up their own translations. But at the end of the day it will never change the true purpose the creator had in mind.
People look at me, judge me and create a story, some good, some negative. But whatever it may be, it would never change the reason God created me. He had a plan in mind, each piece of me that I find faulty, each part of me others judge and criticize, comes together in his will and purpose.
I'll let them talk, it's interesting how gossip is camouflaged as concern. But I'm a painting, a piece of art work that breathes life, God is the only storyteller because he created me.
So let people talk, but also hear their stories and look in the mirror. Sometimes not all stories are fairy tales.
