The daughters of Rome would be the countries that surrounded the Roman empire (they may or may not have been incorporated into the"empire").
I believe these are the countries the Jews lived in during the time Israel didn't exist as a nation.

The way that I understand it is that Babylon "The Mother of Harlots" and Babylon "The Great City" aren't the same. The harlot is a reference to Semiramis the wife of Nimrod "the queen of heaven" of Jeremiah 44. Semiramis is the mother of Tammuz of Ezekiel 8:14. After the confusion of languages Semiramis was known by many names; Ishtar (Easter) of Babylon, Astarte of Canaanites and Phoenicians, Isis of Egypt, Diana of Rome, Mary of the Catholics, and many others. And the daughter of Babylon refers to one of the religious systems built around the goddess worship. The "Great Harlot" is seen sitting on a beast with seven heads (which are seven mountains) which could be interpreted as Rome (the city of seven hills), or it could be interpreted as seven kingdoms or seven different religions that are united by the beast.

Babylon "the great city" is a physical place that is destroyed in the last days of the tribulation. A description is given in Revelations 18:9-20 and there are only a three cities that match that description today. I believe that New York, London and Brussels are the only candidates for the city of Babylon, but there are several daughters of Babylon and religious systems. Brussels seems to be the most likely candidate being that it is in the old Roman empire. The headquarters of the EU in Brussels is also a recreation of the tower of Babel. The statue of Daniel tells us that the world government in the last days will be 5 kingdoms from the western leg of the Roman Empire which are all western thinking countries and predominately Christian or Catholic, and 5 countries from the eastern leg which are mostly muslim countries today.

The mud mixed with iron in the statue is a picture of a faulty religion. Studying the 7 days of creation along with the 7 feast of the Lord and 7 thousand years of human history gives a picture of the sea being the kingdom of satan or the world. Its unstable and men aren't meant to live there. You see a picture of this in Jesus' ministry where He walked on the water putting the kingdom of this world under His feet. Then again when He calmed the storm. We are called to be fishers of men to draw men out of the kingdom of this world and place them on solid ground where they can produce fruit a picture of baptism. Mud on the other hand is a mixture of the two or a picture of a lukewarm religious system or false altogether. The two beasts of Revelations one on the land and one on the sea are a picture of mixing a religion with government. Like I said this is only the way that I understand it.

The church in Rome is a daughter of that spirit and a worshiper of Semiramis. You should check out this the video "secrets in plain sight" you can find it on youtube. The harlot of babylon will have all of the kings of the earth worship her. That isn't true of the catholic church. None of the muslims worship her, none of the new agers and none of the christians. The only people that do worship her are catholics and she can't be the mother of ALL harlots if not all of the false religions come from her. The only religions that do come from the catholic church is christianity. She is a harlot but not the great harlot. The mary worship is just another form of Semiramis worship and they worship Jesus as a form of Tammuz or Mithra.

In the middle of the tribulation the ten kings who have taken control of the earth will destroy the harlot that has ridden and guided them for the first half of the tribulation. Where ever the beast goes the harlot goes and takes control. It becomes the world church which will be centered in Rome. I agree that the she will reign over the whole earth and that the whole earth will hate her and attack her, but God destroys that city at the very last bowl of His wrath, never to be inhabited again. Rome does not fit the description of chapter 18 being a financial super power. Also Rome doesn't reign over anyone except catholics. New York fits this description being that it has wall street and the UN headquarters (financial and military super power) London City fits this description and London city is not the same as London. It's a sovereign district inside of London and is the richest square mile on earth. It has its own government and the entrance to the city is guarded by the statues of Gog and Magog. Brussels also fits the description being the headquarters of NATO (military superpower) with a building that is a reconstruction of the tower of babel. Rome is in no way shape or form a super power of any kind. The only way that I could see rome being involved at all in the end times is if they crown another holy roman emperor that would unite all of Europe. Prince Charles happens to be the only one eligible for that and that would make him Charles the 8th Holy Roman Emperor.

When all the people of the earth are under Mystery Babylon they will have great wealth and political power.

Politically, the spirit of Rome.. such as democracy.. capitalism.. freedom of speech.. citizens rights..emphasis on individual achievement...advanced technologies such as transportation.... fast and easy travel... desire to war and conquer other nations financially, politically or militarily...and violent stadium sporting entertainment (compare gladiator sports of Rome with contact football).
..these do reign over all Western nations of the world. Religiously.. the spirit of Rome.. such as top-down hierarchy..clergy/laity distinctions.. paid pastoral/priestly positions.. a system of giving/tithing to the church, emphasis on sacraments and outward rituals, ceremonies and pomp.. exist not only in the Catholic church but in her children also that came from her.. Anglican, Lutheran.. etc.. the major denominations including Catholic are very wealthy.. if we travel to Europe to see the great Cathedrals we see that.

It helps to understand the purpose of Revelation. The book of Revelation is to encourage and exhort believers in Christ in the midst of persecution (by the Roman Empire and by Jews). So.. we cannot ignore the importance of the Roman Empire and also the fact that most scholars agree that 666 refers to Emperor Nero.
If Babylon is Rome.. which includes the political and religious aspects of the Roman Empire (the religious aspect which is still in existence today)... then the daughter of Babylon is the political and religious aspects of that which came out of the Roman Empire.. which on the political side includes all Western countries.. European, American, etc .. and on the religious side it includes all of the protestant denominations which came out of Mother Rome (specifically Anglican, Lutheran, etc).

Still today Mother Rome calls back her Protestant children and desires they all be one world wide church....and dialogue and reconciliation between protestant and Roman Catholic is continuing and will continue until Christ returns.

It helps to understand what is Babylon. Babylon is confusion.. it is the mixture of things of God with things of the world...it is all the denominations confused over doctrine and practice and divided from one another. But God is not the author of confusion but of peace.
1 Corinthians 14:33. For God is not the author of confusion,. but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

If your church is in confusion and turmoil.. it is not good!! It's a bad sign that it is Babylon... if we are in things of the world minding worldly things we also will be confused and find it hard to know God's will and know what the bible teaches!

Babylon is mixture of the things of the flesh with things of the spirit.. mixture of things of the world with things of God... Babylon is inside of us too.. whenever we choose to mind the things of the flesh rather than the things of the Spirit...even whenever we do clothing or grocery shopping according to worldly mindsets.. even when we hold to traditions and cultures dear to us and put them before the things of God (e.g. Christmas, Easter etc)..

Note that man's number.. 6.. is very close to God's number of perfection 7. We may look and think it is of God.. but there is part which is of the world. God's number perfection has no spot or wrinkle, there is no defilement from the flesh or the world.. it is completely sanctified, separate, holy. This is why many churches are not preaching the gospel like they should they are just playing nice music to attract young people. They use gambling or raffles to raise money... and their church councils are not seeking the Holy Spirit alone for decision making but they have democratic style majority rules voting systems....this is all example in which churches are mixtures of the world and the things of God.
