Who goes through the tribulation?

A lot of people say we are not to face God's wrath, I agree

1Thess 5:9; is the verse I commonly hear to support this. ..and yet...

1Thes 5:9; For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,

It seems to me this verse is more about salvation than the tribulation. The tribulation is seven years.
The wrath of no salvation is forever.

But I have a question about that.... lets say there is a pre-trib for sake of argument. .. and let's say the reason it's pre-trib is because God doesn't want Christians to face wrath.

Dan 7:25; 'He will speak out against the Most High and wear down the saints of the Highest One, and he will intend to make alterations in times and in law; and they will be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time.
Rev 11:7; When they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up out of the abyss will make war with them, and overcome them and kill them.
Rev 13:7; It was also given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them, and authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation was given to him.
Rev 20:4; Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

Now a lot of people will say, well these are the people who get saved during the tribulation... well OK, if God doesn't want Christians to face wrath, then why do these Christians have to face wrath?

But let me take this a little further. There is God's wrath. A then there is the things the beast does to Christians. God is causing ( allowing ) the plagues in Revelation to happen. But I don't see that hurts Christians anywhere.
On the other hand, the beast is persecuting Christians at the same time. It looks like he will even kill some of them. We shouldn't blame God for what the beast is doing to people.

God has and can will protect his people from his wrath.

Exactly!

Rev 9:3; Then out of the smoke came locusts upon the earth, and power was given them, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
Rev 9:4; They were told not to hurt the grass of the earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree, but only the men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads.
Rev 9:5; And they were not permitted to kill anyone, but to torment for five months; and their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it stings a man.

Now some people will say, well that's the 144,000 Jews. But these are the same people saying a lot of people will get saved during the tribulation.
OK then, do those other people not get a seal from God? I'm not talking about the 144,000, sure they get the seal. But what about Gentiles who get saved during this time?

There are 144,000 from the 12 tribes of Israel who are protected as they are in the tribulation period to evangeliz the Jews . The jews are God's chosen people. They will come to accept Jesus christ as their promised Messiah.
And, yes they are sealed.

Now -- do I Understand all of rhat. Not really but God's Word says it will take place.

Yes, that's why I believe it's Jesus using deliberately overblown language to make his warning clear. I've shown that this was a well known prophetic literary style.

I've read these gospel passages many, many times and I've never found a way of putting it all together so that every piece fits neatly. Remember Jesus said "this generation will not pass until all these things are accomplished."
A lot of christians do not believe that he destroyed The Temple because it was the Temple of The devil and that is who, they worshipped in Jerusalem. they The jews thought they worshipped the true God but they did worship a god and his name is Satan. which the scripture has made plainly from "Genesis to The Letter to the seven congregations in ASIA. and throughout The GOSPELS.

and they do not believe today christians in the concept of "Types
and Shadows" of that was to come in all the genre of the the Biblical themes . copies.
John 4:22 BSB
21“Believe Me, woman,” Jesus replied, “a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22
You worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23But a time is coming And Has Now Come When the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father is seeking such as these to worship Him.

And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

and if it was Possible, he would, deceive "THE VERY ELECT".

[when satan moves I see him.} I cannot do anything but I see him.
Is it a gift? does God gives such Gifts to men?

Rev 6:5 . . And when He broke the third seal, I heard the third living creature
saying: Come! And I looked, and behold, a black horse; and he who sat on it had a
pair of scales in his hand.

Scales (a.k.a. balances) were used in the application of commercial weights and
measures. Modern electronic scales are quite a bit more sophisticated.

The black horse in this case indicates hunger. (compare the pale horse's
assignment in Rev 6:8)

Rev 6:6a . . And I heard as it were a voice in the center of the four living
creatures saying: A measure of wheat for a denarius, and three measures of of
barley for a denarius;

The Greek word translated "measure" is roughly equal to 1.09 liters or 2.3 US pints.
The denarius is widely assumed to have been equivalent to a day's pay for soldiers
and/or laborers.

It's a pretty good guess that what we're looking at is hand-to-mouth existence due
to inflationary pricing caused by the simple fact that there just won't be enough to
go around; for example:

"When I cut off your supply of bread, ten women will be able to bake your bread in
one oven, and they will dole out the bread by weight. You will eat, but you will not
be satisfied." (Lev 26:26)

Rev 6:6b . . do not damage the oil and the wine!

Oil made from olives was common in just about everybody's kitchen and served as
a shortening. (cf. 1Kngs 17:8-12) Wine was a common first aid treatment, likely to
due to its alcohol content. (e.g. Luke 10:34)

NOTE: The oil used in Luke 10:34 was likely an essential oil rather olive, e.g. Myrrh,

Clove, and/or Frankincense.

Rev 6:7-8 . .When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the
fourth living creature say: Come!

. . . I looked, and there before me was a pale horse. Its rider was named Death,
and hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of
the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.

* The lethal sources listed are common throughout the world today; but never have
they harvested so many souls as they will in the future. For example:

The current global population is roughly 7,964,189,000 i.e. 7.96 billion. By the time
Mr. Death finishes his work, something like 1.99 billion of those people would be
rubbed out by war, hunger, disease, and the animal kingdom; which consists of a
fair number of poisonous species along with toxic critters like vampire bats and
mosquitoes.

* In perspective: 1.99 billion people adds up to nearly 6x the USA's current
population.

We don't usually notice someone's passing unless they're famous or one of our
friends, associates, and relatives. Well; when Mr. Death goes to work, the dead will
be all around us and impossible to overlook. I rather suspect funeral homes will be
overwhelmed; if open for business at all.

And ER? Well, it's Mr. Death's intention that people die rather than survive, so I
should think that any and all medical attention the hospitals are able to provide will
be quite ineffective, viz: they'll likely serve as morgues instead of treatment
centers.

God’s saints shall be on earth during His wrath. Here is proof…

Revelation 16:15
Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.”

The above is happening during the pouring out of Gods wrath on the earth. The garments mentioned above are a part of being sealed by the Holy Spirit, for those who understand.

For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord YSHUA Christ,

Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.

No argument on that point. The question is... does God specifically direct His wrath at saints during this time?
I know the line between God's wrath and tribulation might be a bit smudgy, but it's good to keep them a little separate. Wrath is God's punishment and tribulation is the suffering that the saints endure. One calls for repentance the other perseverance.

No argument on that point. The question is... does God specifically direct His wrath at saints during this time?
I believe we are given the answer in scripture by looking at the past events when God poured out His wrath. Look how God seperated the children of Israel from many of the plagues He poured out on the Egyptians.

Or look here in Ezekiel, where those who were sealed by Gods mark of righteousness were spared from His wrath.

Ezekiel 9:1-6

King James Version

9 He cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man with his destroying weapon in his hand.
2 And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer's inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar.
3 And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer's inkhorn by his side;
4 And the Lord said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.
5 And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity:
6 Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.”

This is a similitude of God’s Saints being sealed in the Revelation.

In post #41, I gave some scriptures where the beast/antichrist persecutes and kills some Christians. So that particular "wrath" comes from the beast, not God.

However, the plagues of Revelation, all come from God. He doesn't appear to be targeting saved saints.

For example...

Rev 9:2 He opened the bottomless pit, and smoke went up out of the pit, like the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke of the pit.
Rev 9:3 Then out of the smoke came locusts upon the earth, and power was given them, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
Rev 9:4 They were told not to hurt the grass of the earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree, but only the men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads.

However...

Rev 9:20 The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, so as not to worship demons, and the idols of gold and of silver and of brass and of stone and of wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk;
Rev 9:21 and they did not repent of their murders nor of their sorceries nor of their immorality nor of their thefts.
Rev 16:9 Men were scorched with fierce heat; and they blasphemed the name of God who has the power over these plagues, and they did not repent so as to give Him glory.
Rev 16:11 and they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores; and they did not repent of their deeds.

The unsaved/non-Christians people who refuse to repent, that's another story. It seems these are the people facing God's wrath.

This is kind of like some meme's I've seen recently.
God didn't let Noah avoid the flood. Noah had to go through it. But the flood didn't hurt Noah.
The Jews didn't go around the red sea. They went through it. But the sea didn't hurt them.
God didn't let Daniel avoid the lions den, he was thrown in with them. But the lions didn't hurt him.
Meshach, Shadrach and Abednigo were thrown into the fiery furnace, but the fire didn't hurt them.

Why would some Christians have to go through the tribulation?!

You're talking about the 5th trumpet in Revelation .
Some Christians will go through the tribulation because they have not made themselves ready to be part of the bride.
Revelation 19:7
Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

Notice....The Word does not say Jesus has made his bride ready....She has made herself ready.

Yes the dead in Christ will arise first......Key words...In Christ....1Thes 4:16; For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. So what does the word "Christ" even mean?

The word 'christ' is not Jesus' last name....The word 'christ' means THE ANOINTED ONE, AND HIS ANOINTING...so if you are in christ, you are walking with Jesus IN HIS ANOINTING. You are not walking in the flesh (doing it all under your own wisdom or strength) but you are walking in total dependence and obedience to Him.

Rev 13:8 . . All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast-- all whose names
have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from
the world.

Jesus wasn't a stand-by paramedic sent to an unexpected train wreck, rather; he
was designated, and scheduled, to die on a cross prior to God creating even a
single atom for the current cosmos. (1Pet 1:18-21)

Everything is a foregone conclusion with God; nothing surprises Him. God foresaw
the forbidden fruit incident, He foresaw Cain and Abel, He foresaw the Flood, He
foresaw the Tower of Babel, He foresaw Sodom and Gomorrah, He foresaw the
Holocaust, and He has seen the Lake of Fire and the end of the world as we know
it.

There are no new Christians with God. He's already foreseen every one of them
back at the very beginning just as He's seen everything else ahead of time before it
comes to pass. Ergo: if somebody's name isn't already in the lamb's book of life,
then their name is never going to be in there.

Eph 1:3-5 . . Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has
blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For He
chose us in him before the creation of the world . . . in love He predestined us to be
adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will.
