There is a distinct difference,

Religion: How good do i have to be to reach Heaven?

Christianity: Jesus Christ is our righteousness! We are Heaven bound.

I have to agree there is a big difference between religious and Christianity.

Anyone can say they are religious...that they go to church and they read the bible and they follow all the laws the best of their ability and so on, but they do all this and not have a relationship with Jesus and that won't get them anywhere.

A true Christian knows Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of their life and has repented of their sins and accepted the gift of His sacrifice so that we may have redemption from sin and gain eternal life then having having this personal relationship with Jesus and then strive to life their life the best they can for Him and putting their faith into works..it is through our actions and words that we can give and show the love of Jesus to others thus winning souls for Him. This to me is the true meaning of being Christian not just merely being religous.
