This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. Hebrews 4:15-16

Sometimes it’s hard to acknowledge your weaknesses or your need for help. You live in a self-sufficient culture, and so it may come as a shock to read that Jesus spent time on earth in order to feel your weaknesses and to show mercy to you.

If you struggle with sin or don’t think you can set your life right, know this: Jesus felt your fears, inadequacies, and even weakness. He knows that you’re tempted, that you struggle, and that you won’t always make the best choices.

Jesus was tested in all of the ways you have been tested, and while that may be hard to believe, it’s even harder to believe that He then is merciful to you. But He is. And He wants you to come to Him in your weakness and failure.

Do you need to know today that Jesus is merciful and ready to help you? He desires that you have no fear when you approach His throne of grace. And take note that this throne is one of grace, not judgment. Acknowledging your weaknesses and failures is the key to restoration.

And that's the I AM that He ARE!

James 2:13 For judgment is without mercy to one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
