Why the viper didnt kill Paul

Jesus told Paul that he was going to testify before the king. If snake killed him,Christ lied. It was faith for sure. But it lets us know if God gives you a job to do,you wont die until its finished. Unless your faith fails. Like Moses striking the rock.
Or taken out of the place of fruit bearing like the Sapphira and Ananias. A sin unto death for some.

The Lord Jesus spoke these words to the seventy disciples, on their return, whom He had equipped and sent out to prepare the way before Him.
He had given them power to tread on serpents and scorpions etc., Obviously this same power had been given to the Apostle Paul, too.
