Here we go with a big debate. Grin
I go with the Complimentary Model.
The complementarian model aligns with the biblical teaching that men and women are equal in value, dignity, and worth before God, yet have been given distinct roles and responsibilities, particularly in the home and the church. This understanding is rooted in passages such as Genesis 1:27, which affirms that both male and female are created in the image of God, and Genesis 2, where the man is created first and the woman is created as a suitable helper, indicating a difference in roles from the beginning. In the New Testament, Ephesians 5:22–33 presents a model of marriage in which the husband lovingly leads as Christ leads the church, and the wife respectfully submits as the church submits to Christ. Similarly, in the church, 1 Timothy 2 and 3, as well as Titus 1, show a pattern in which certain leadership roles are assigned to qualified men, while women are encouraged to teach and serve in ways that honor their unique design. These differences are not about superiority or inferiority, but about God-ordained functions that reflect His order and purpose. The complementarian model seeks to uphold this biblical pattern with humility and faithfulness.
