Word on the Web

Philippians 3 v 9b-11

Now I am right with God, not because I followed the law, but because I believed in Christ. God uses my faith to make me right with him. I want to know Christ and the power that raised him from the dead. I want to share in his sufferings and become like him in his death. Then I have hope that I myself will be raised from the dead.

The law was holy but it was a guide line to differentiate right from wrong it could not redeem anyone because it was weak. Christ has not yet died for our sins. The reason we have access to God is because of the resurrection. The Holy Spirit the message barer and comforter lives in us because we invite him to do so by asking Christ to change us and be with us always. Paul realised that the law could not make him right with God but the life of Christ did. The power that raised Christ from the dead was the Holy Sprit of God. He is very strong and gives the believer the authority to overcome wrong doings and live a right life before God. Remember he lives in you as he lived in Paul and look at all the work that Paul has done for the Lord, you can do even better because you are still alive. We will never be able to die on a cross to save anyone but for the one who did we can live and do his work. There is a reward awaiting us it will either be eternal life at the end of our life on earth or eternal punishment.

Dear Lord God, my desire is to see your face some day. It is not easy for me at this time but with your help I know that I will be able to do it. My prayer to you is that you will give me more grace to live for you. Thank you. Amen
