Judges 16 v 28-31
Then Samson prayed to the Lord, "Lord God, remember me. God, please give me strength one more time so I can pay these Philistines back for putting out my two eyes!" Then Samson turned to the two centre pillars that supported the whole temple. He braced himself between the two pillars, with his right hand on one and his left hand on the other. Samson said, "Let me die with these Philistines!" Then he pushed as hard as he could, causing the temple to fall on the rulers and all the people in it. So Samson killed more of the Philistines when he died than when he was alive.
Samson's brothers and his whole family went down to get his body. They brought him back and buried him in the tomb of Manoah, his father, between the cities of Zorah and Eshtaol. Samson was a judge for the people of Israel for twenty years.
Even though we sin, God can and will still use us, but we all need to repent. God will forgive any sin we commit if we are truly sorry and turn away from sin with a willing heart to serve Him. Here we see that God used Samson even at the end of his life. Wherever we are in our faith, God wants to use us, but we have to be willing to put all our selfish desires aside and trust Him because God has plans for us greater than we can ever imagine.
Samson killed more Philistines in his death than during his whole life, because at this point when God was using him, he was more willing for God to use Him than he ever had been. God rewards a willing heart to serve Him and blesses us whenever we try our best. We should therefore always strive to do the best we can in our relationships, work and study.
Just like Samson, sometimes we have to experience the worst situation before we can understand our sin. Once we have, and through repentance, we grow closer to God. By trusting and depending on Him to be there for us in every aspect of our lives we realise the beauty and stability of the relationship offered to us through Jesus and we open up the possibilities for God's might and power to be shown through us.
Heavenly Father, I know that you have an awesome plan and I am willing to play my part in it. Take away all my selfish desires, and align me with your perfect plan. Make me a vessel to serve you so that your justice, power and love can be seen here on earth. Amen
