John 12 v 44-50
Then Jesus cried out, "Whoever believes in me is really believing in the One who sent me. Whoever sees me sees the One who sent me. I have come as light into the world so that whoever believes in me would not stay in darkness.
"Anyone who hears my words and does not obey them, I do not judge, because I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. There is a judge for those who refuse to believe in me and do not accept my words. The word I have taught will be their judge on the last day. The things I taught were not from myself. The Father who sent me told me what to say and what to teach. And I know that eternal life comes from what the Father commands. So whatever I say is what the Father told me to say."
Wow! What an invitation! Whoever you are. Whatever you've done. Whatever your life has been like. No exclusions. If you believe in Jesus He gives you a completely new start - a new life. And your relationship with God is restored. What about you, do you believe in Jesus?
Recently, we had a power cut. There I was fumbling around a dark room, bumping into things trying to find a torch. What a difference between light and darkness! Jesus has brought us out of darkness into the light. He wants us to keep walking with Him in the light. We start our journey with Jesus by believing in Him and we need to keep on believing. As we do, Jesus will keep on revealing more and more of God's generous Father Heart to us. What a promise!
Jesus, thank you for choosing me! Thank you for accepting me the way I am. Thank you for giving me a completely new start. Jesus I want to keep on believing in you.
