John 12 v 34-36
The crowd said, "We have heard from the law that the Christ will live forever. So why do you say, 'The Son of Man must be lifted up'? Who is this 'Son of Man'?"
Then Jesus said, "The light will be with you for a little longer, so walk while you have the light. Then the darkness will not catch you. If you walk in the darkness, you will not know where you are going. Believe in the light while you still have it so that you will become children of light." When Jesus had said this, he left and hid himself from them.
Jesus does his usual trick of seemingly answering the real question: The crowd are talking about the Christ and the Son of Man like they're two different people, like Jesus is offering them something other than what they are longing for - a different Christ than what they want. He answers in a typically cryptic fashion, and we can only guess at the real meaning.
My guess is that he's saying "Stop trying to work it out, just get on board! You don't need it all sorted in your head before you can trust it - trust me now, even in uncertainty - THAT'S CALLED FAITH!"
Maybe that's the best thing I'm going to hear today, in all the uncertainty of life. Trust Jesus, find him while you can.
I'm here Jesus.

You are my career plan.
You are my security.
You are my home.
