Psalm 72 v 18-20
Praise the LORD God, the God of Israel, who alone does such miracles. Praise his glorious name forever. Let his glory fill the whole world. Amen and amen.
Now having prayed for the king we get to the praise of God!
I thank the Lord every morning and every evening for my release from alcohol addiction. In my view a miracle was performed when I met God again after so many years and when he took me into his arms and caressed me.
The famous prayer 'Footprints' is an example of how I feel about God. He has looked over me since I was born. He has nurtured me and cared for me - but let me find out for myself the horrid experiences of addiction and then when I asked for help he was there. He carried me though my bad times and let me walk when I gained strength. I try and repay his kindness and trust by helping other alcoholics refrain from making their lives miserable by stopping drinking and finding their own higher power.
Praise the LORD God, the God of Israel, who alone does such miracles. When we trust him, all things are possible; all we need to do is believe and have faith.
Dear Lord, today is another day. Yesterday is gone and tomorrow never comes. Please let me live in the day and do the best I can. With your grace and love I will succeed. Thank you for your love and protection. Amen.
AND REMEMBER - THANK YOU IS A WONDERFUL PRAYER!
