Judges 16 v 15-17
Then Delilah said to him, "How can you say, 'I love you,' when you don't even trust me? This is the third time you have made a fool of me. You haven't told me the secret of your great strength." She kept bothering Samson about his secret day after day until he felt he was going to die!
So he told her everything. He said, "I have never had my hair cut, because I have been set apart to God as a Nazirite since I was born. If someone shaved my head, I would lose my strength and be as weak as any other man."
He eventually cracked! - Told Delilah the truth after all her nagging. He was strong enough to strangle a lion but could not control his lust and see Delilah for who she really was. This was the second time Samson allowed himself to be worn down by her constant nagging (c14v17).
Don't allow anyone to talk you into doing wrong no matter how attractive, persuasive or persistent they are.
Father, may we remember you when we feel weak in spirit. Help us not to be deceived by our sexual desires but to be in persistent prayer, fully relying on you. Amen
