Matthew 7:7-8
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
Our country (England) is full of people who are asking, seeking, knocking. It's why people read horoscopes, why they enter the lottery, why they are so interested in ghosts or aliens. When people stop believing in God, they don't come to believe in nothing; they start to believe in anything!
Church Army evangelists are key at these moments. They can encourage people in their search and guide them where to look. God is ready, endlessly ready, to open the door to anyone, no matter how hesitantly they ask.
Lord Jesus, I claim your promise that when I seek you and knock on the door, you will open the door. I ask you again to come into my life and refresh my life with you. Amen
