Matthew 7:1-2
[Jesus said,] 'Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.'

Are prisoners suffering the result of their own wickedness? Are asylum seekers merely attempting to improve their financial circumstances? Do people with HIV only have themselves to blame? Are religious extremists evil?

Be careful how you answer, because you are talking about someone whom God loves infinitely. If you make judgments about others they will rebound on you, because God will assess you by the same standards.

Lord, as I look at others today, help me not to jump to conclusions about them, to judge them by their looks or manner or reputation. You love all people regardless of who or what they are. May I follow your example and radiate your love. Amen

When we become to religious or holy we tend to camouflage our judging as being concern.
