Matthew 6:21
[Jesus said,] 'Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.'
You go to work; you cook a meal; you go to the dentist; you vacuum the carpets. It isn't easy to view these activities as treasure. But Jesus has a surprise for you.
When everything you undertake comes with the motive, 'I do this for you, Lord,' then your ordinary life, with its relentless round of mundane duties, takes on an eternal quality. That is the beginning of preparing your heart for heaven.
Lord, to be your follower means to live for you. Above all else I want to follow you - you are my treasure, may all I do be to your glory. Amen
