Matthew 5:5
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
When we are utterly dependent on God, characteristics emerge in us that contrast dramatically with the world's attitude to success. One of those is without doubt a gentle and humble spirit towards others.
Those who have taken possession of God's earth by tyranny need to remember that the Lord is sovereign and he alone controls its destiny. Those meek enough to acknowledge that receive his: 'Congratulations!'.
Pray today for those who are meek, and for those who are not.
