John 20 v 30-31
Jesus did many other miracles in the presence of his followers that are not written in this book. But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. Then, by believing, you may have life through his name.
This last part of the Gospel brings us up to date as many miracles have been done in the name of Christ and many lives changed. When I read the story of Mother Teresa of Calcutta I see a whole life which has been a miracle of God and of how someone has served wholeheartedly in such a powerful way. Maybe it is up to us who claim to follow Christ to help form part of the miracles of witness so that others might believe.
We are not all called to be evangelists but, we are all called to be witnesses. It might be that we have to look at our own lifestyles and see if there is any evidence to convict each of us of being a Christian.
Father God we thank you for your great gift of love shown through the death of your son. Help us to show and share that love with others so people can see the power of the gospel in our lives as a beacon of Gods Love. Amen
