But the path of the just [is] as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. The way of the wicked [is] as darkness: they know not at what they stumble. Proverbs 4:18-19

Solomon offered a stark contrast in today's verses. The path of the wicked is fraught with danger. Those who take it stumble but aren't even sure what tripped them up. The person who walks the path of the just leaves darkness behind. The father he goes down the right path, the brighter his path becomes since God's grace completely illuminates it.

The apostle Paul offered a similar message: "Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling" (Philippians 2:12). We work while trusting God with the results.

What does working out your own salvation look like in your life? What specifically are you doing to flee the way of the wicked in favor of the path of the just? Are you taking responsibility for feeding yourself spiritually? Are you gathering with other believers? Are you staying steadfast in prayer?

Prayer: Father, I see two paths in front of me. May I walk the path of the just today and every day, forsaking my former ways in favor of obeying and honoring You.

Working out your salvation with fear and trembling is NOT a popular concept....BUT it is , obviously, Biblical.

Where are the "John the Baptists" that will shout from the wilderness (while eating off the land)

"Repent..for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand" !!

??

You asked what it looks like in my life.

What does it look like in the Body of Christ?

:) :)
