John 15
13Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. 14You are My friends if you do what I command you. 15No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not understand what his master is doing. But I have called you friends, because everything I have learned from My Father I have made known to you.…

Proverbs 18:24
A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who stays closer than a brother.

Matthew 12:50
For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother."

Luke 12:4
I tell you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more.

John 14:15,28
If ye love me, keep my commandments…

2 Chronicles 20:7
Art not thou our God, who didst drive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to the seed of Abraham thy friend for ever?

John 2:5

His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.

John 13:17
If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.

John 14:21
He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

John 8:26
"I have much to say about you and much to judge. But the One who sent Me is truthful, and what I have heard from Him, I tell the world."

John 16:12
I still have much to tell you, but you cannot yet bear to hear it.

'Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God:
and every one that loveth Him that begat
loveth him also that is begotten of Him.
By this we know that we love the children of God,
when we love God, and keep His commandments.
For this is the love of God,
that we keep His commandments:
and His commandments are not grievous.'
(1 John 5:1)

Hello @PloughBoy,

Looking at the verse which contains the words of your subject heading (above), I find myself viewing it with fresh eyes. Observing that the words, 'Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God,' is a statement on it's own: and what follows relates to the love the begotten one has for the One Who Begat him, and states that the love that he has for His Begetter (God) is reflected in the love he also has for those of His brothers and sisters in Christ who also are begotten of Him. This love is evidenced in the keeping of His commandments. Which reminds me of Ephesians 2:8-10:-

'For by grace are ye saved through faith;
and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
For we are His workmanship,
created in Christ Jesus - unto good works,
which God hath before ordained
that we should walk in them.'
(Ephesians 2:8-10)

'A new commandment I give unto you,
That ye love one another; as I have loved you,
that ye also love one another.
By this shall all men know that ye are My disciples,
if ye have love one to another.
(John 13:34-25)

'This is my commandment,
That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
Greater love hath no man than this,
that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
(Joh 15:12-14)

'Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Jesus said unto him,
"Thou shalt love the Lord thy God
.. with all thy heart,
,,.. and with all thy soul,
...... and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it,
Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.'
(Matthew 22:36-40)

* It is all entirely about LOVE, love for God and for one another.

Just thoughts
Thank you

'Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God,'

* The nature of the Begetter should be reflected in the one who has been begotten, and we are assured that, GOD IS LOVE.

'Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God;
and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
In this was manifested the love of God toward us,
because that God sent His only begotten Son into the world,
that we might live through Him.'
(1 John 7-9)

'Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us,
and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.'
(1 John 4:10)

'Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
No man hath seen God at any time.
If we love one another, God dwelleth in us,
and His love is perfected in us.'
(1 John 4:11-12)

'Hereby know we that we dwell in Him, and He in us,
because He hath given us of His Spirit.
And we have seen and do testify
that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God,
God dwelleth in Him, and He in God.
(1 John 4:13-15)

'And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us.
God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
Herein is our love made perfect,
that we may have boldness in the day of judgment:
because as he is, so are we in this world.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment.
He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
We love Him, because He first loved us.
If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar:
for He that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen,
how can he love God Whom he hath not seen?
And this commandment have we from Him,
That He who loveth God love his brother also.'
(1 John 4:16-21)

One thing, that I came to know, that many have no idea what the word, the title, "The CHRIST" means in The fullness, coming from the mouth of "GOD". and not define by "Webster" or "Britannica" or an online "Lexicon", or dripping from the mouth of an "arm chair Theologian", for a hard copy of "ISBE" would do us a great justice in defining the Divine intent. but I know "Complete" you understand my meaning in this expression, of exhaustion in all avenues, that we maybe "well Equip".

'Whosoever believeth that Jesus is "The Christ" is born of God::pensive: For "Joshua" was a very popular name during that time. For in this day and age it is nothing to argue about his name and what he was called. But There is only "One Christ" who Is "The Christ of GOD". for "Emmanuel" suffice enough, would you not say, to quiet the critics.

'Whosoever believeth that Jesus is "The Christ" is born of God: and many fail to realize who "The us is" when the Bible states "He Loved us" meaning, before time. he did not love them, but He loved us.:pensive: and He died for us. before we even knew who He was and before we knew our own name and Our names was written down in His Book and written down on the palms of his hand.

New American Standard Bible
“Can a woman forget her nursing child And have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but I will not forget you.
“Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me."

Malachi 1:2
"I have loved you," says the LORD. But you ask, "How have You loved us?" "Was not Esau Jacob's brother?" declares the LORD. "Yet Jacob I have loved,

New American Standard Bible
Just as it is written: “JACOB I HAVE LOVED, BUT ESAU I HAVE HATED.”

Romans 9
…14What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Certainly not! 15For He says to Moses: “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” 16So then, it does not depend on man’s desire or effort, but on God’s mercy.

So, Complete, you were special before time itself, before the moon the stars and the Sun. because he chose you, before you knew your own self and ordain that you would, declare His name and He knew your name before you were named. For there is no other people on the face of the earth and throughout all eternity liken to us. For when "The Indicative" will finally arrive which is "imperative'. They will behold "The GLORY of GOD" for we will be That GLORY that will be that Manifestation, throughout ALL ETERNITY. So says, "The WORD of The LIVING GOD":pensive: "Believeth Thou This":) hey, it is true whether we believe it or not. and no matter how foggy, the world fogs up our minds.

Because GOD cannot lie! He swore by Himself, in "Abraham". for we come from all nations. {one from over here, one from over there, 2 from there, 4 from over here, 5 from there, all over the World, "China, Russia, Uk, USA, North Korean, South Korean, Peru, Africa, South Africa, The North Pole, The South Pole, Australia, Germany, Ukraine, France,, Palestine, Syria, Turkey, The UAE, For we are not the blinded ones, that cannot see what is in "the DARK', Why because we Have A "LIGHT" that Shines in The dark, and we sees what is hidden in the dark the things the world cannot see.

Genesis 26:4
And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;

Genesis 28:14
Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out to the west and east and north and south. All the families of the earth will be blessed through you and your offspring.

Speaking about the out come of "Eternity" where there is no end, "that is the Blessing" and no worldly blessing can be compared to that which, "eyes have not seen" nor ears have heard" all earthly blessing is nothing but: as Apostle Paul have describe" all earthly blessing compared to that which is in the eternals is as if it is "waste' and not to be compared, For what God has in stored for us, and can never be compared as a perfect gift. For there is only one perfect gift that has come down from heaven and that gift is "Jesus The Christ of GOD" all over gifts on earth are not perfect. So they cannot come down from the Father of lights. But yet all receive "The benevolence of God". "He rains on the just and the unjust", He gives water and food to the just and the unjust... he shines his Sun and gives warmth to the just and the unjust. "The Benevolence of GOD'.:pensive: He is kind to all. The wolf and the Bear, The Lion and The CROW., benefits from The benevolence of GOD, not one sparrow falls to the ground without His knowledge. not one fish in the oceans dies without His knowledge.:relieved: For even The One Snow Flake cannot fall unless he has given it a Command.
