Dear Fellow Christian,
By now you must have heard about one of the worst disasters in Asia's history. I want to report to you today how, with your help, Gospel for Asia is responding.
GFA Compassion Services teams are already on the scene helping the victims of Pakistan's massive floods --a disaster that is impacting more lives than even the Asian tsunami of 2004.
The UN estimates that about 14 million people--including 6 million children--have been directly affected by Pakistan's runaway rivers, and one-fifth of the country is now under water. Entire villages have been wiped out, crops and livestock have been destroyed, and a variety of epidemic diseases threatens much of the population.
To make matters worse, the forecast is calling for more flooding over the next few days.

But I want you to know that as soon as the flooding took place, GFA-supported workers immediately began to respond--and they are still sacrificially serving in the midst of this unthinkable tragedy.
They are reaching out with clean water, food and clothing to people who have literally lost everything. Equally important, they are sharing true hope with people whose futures have been utterly destroyed.
My friend, your earnest prayers and support are needed at this critical time. Your gift today will be an incredible blessing to the Pakistani people.
