There are times when we get hit hard with storms, we lose love ones, friends and we're left feeling deserted. The tears fall but does
nothing to heal the heart, we pray but still feel defeated.
We cry out, but nothing comes out because we're Empty....
Its almost as thought we've become numb. We cant eat , sleep or have a revival in our praise and worship.
Empty, abandoned, lonely in the darkness of our situation.
In our self pity we fall further into a dark Hole.
Well I say...Arise, lift those hands to the Lord. The bible says give everything to God, we can not do it on our own.
Psalm 55:22
Put your cares on the Lord, and he will be your support; he will not let the upright man be moved
Its comforting to know he will pull us up from our "dark holes" into his arms.
Jesus Assures a Better Future "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted."
( Matthew 5:3-4)
Things may look bad, stuff destroyed in our lives, that we must rebuild.
But there is a joy that comes, when the sun comes out, there's a joy that comes after the flood. We go outside and we can see the rainbow.
Joy will always come in the morning.
Jesus Points to a Lasting Joy "I tell you the truth, you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy. A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world. So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy." ( John 16:20-22)
Footprints in the Sand
One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there was one only.
This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints, so I said to the Lord,
“You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there has only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?”
The Lord replied, “The years when you have seen only one set of footprints, my child, is when I carried you.”
