Mark 14:7 "For you always have the poor with you,and whatever you wish you can do good to them; but you do not always have ME." In verse 6, the meaning of verse 7: But Jesus said "LET her alone; why do you bother her? She has done a good deed to ME." The book of Mark is seldom talked about,or reflected on as often as it should be. The question for us to say to ourselves this day,is can we also say this to others?
With so many going through so much,the world is settled upon self,and with all that is around us,fear,feeling isolated by others,a lack of love being felt in general,money woes and other things,it is most difficult to gather a sound mind.Many use there jobs to help themselves through there mind,many watch T.V.or on the computer,or playing video games,or whatever.
To be entertained,that is the goal,to get our thoughts out of our mind always,even for just a few hours! We see many around who have needs as well,but it is tough to focus on them,when we ourselves seem to believe we are in such a deep hole.We hear the crys of others,but who hears our cry? Verse 8 She has done what she could! Have we?
The focus the Holy Spirit has laid upon my feet this day is,through our own lack,we have much more then we believe we do. 1 Cor 1:4-9 Grace needed always, grace given,grace received. Enriched in Christ. in all speech,and all knowledge,even as the testimony( our testimony) concerning Christ CONFIRMED!!!! IN YOU! WHY?? verse 7 so that YOU are not lacking in what???? ANY GIFT!
And how does our Jesus confirm this to us? Through what we DO! Because by what we do in our Jesus confirms to others who lives in us. And through this confirmation verse 9 takes shape in us. verse 9 God IS FAITHFUL, through!! whom YOU were called into what?? amen Fellowship WITH HIS SON Jesus Christ!
I myself have been going through some tough times as well as you all have. And we wonder Lord, dear Lord!! How much longer?? Why today?? Why ME?? If we dwell upon this for a long period of time,we can become dismayed to say the least!
But many of you here, know already from which I speak of,that is why you are here. To help others!! because you know, that by doing,you also can be helped in and through our Blessed HOPE Jesus Christ!
Hope is not found by looking for it,hope is found by doing something for another. By giving the very grace we all need. Through action,hope becomes alive in us. Where was the hope for those who lost so many in the 911 attacks??
Did you see all those who had hope??? They were doing something,as well as looking within themselves for what they thought was lost. A reason to be where they are! That is what we are doing brothers and sisters,looking for a reason to be where we are! You will find this,when you do something about it.
When like this woman before the very feet of Jesus, she did what she could!! LET US!! Do what we can for another in Christ! And bring hope to life, in each and everyone of us!! Blessing all!
