10 Prophecies Fulfilled Long Ago

The Babylon in Revelation 18 is a nation that is glorified by many around the world, and glorifies itself, and the people are the most confident that they will always overcome, and always be the most powerful. This nation has "lived deliciously" (see verse 7 below), the people are able to live comfortably, and indulge themselves as a habit. People don't say "everything's bigger in America" for no reason. Everything really is bigger in America,

America is pretty bad. It's true. But when I think of indulgences, I don't think of Ford, Chevy, McDonalds, and Budweiser.
It hard to think of a country more extravagant than the home of Ferrari, Lamborghini, Gucci, Botticelli, Prada, Italian Wines, the Italian Riviera is the favorite playground of millionaires.
Also there are many American churches, some have branched out all over the world, but none of them has had the influence Rome has has over the last 1500 years or so. (The US has only been a country for 250 years).
Another thing to keep in mind, there was no USA when the New Testament was written. 1 Peter 5:13 for example, couldn't have been written about the USA.
It also couldn't have been written about the "real" Babylon which was destroyed 490 (or 150) years earlier depending on which war you believe ended the Babylonian empire. The original Babylon was in modern day Iraq,
hardly a world power, that could change in the next few years, but right now I wouldn't place them in the top 30 or so. Also what exports do you see coming from Iraq currently?

Possibly second on the list would be where BMW's Audi's and Mercedes Benz comes from.

The USA in the bible is the beast of iron mixed with clay:

Daniel 2:41:43-
41 Whereas you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; yet the strength of the iron shall be in it, just as you saw the iron mixed with ceramic clay. 42 And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile. 43 As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, they will mingle with the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay.

Literally this speaks of the Roman Empire. The fragility of the empire is well known.
The USA is an extension of the Roman Empire.
The Roman Empire includes the western democratic countries. USA is a big one, and then Europe, yes German, France, UK, etc.
All of these countries have their origin in the fallen Roman Empire, because they still retain the Roman style or latin language, numeral system and alphabet, architectural style, democracy, food, and religion etc. Wherever there is the democracy and Roman Catholic churches and cathedrals are many, there the Roman Empire is.

The Roman Empire was finished in the 15th century. Since then we've had the British Empire, Ottoman Empire, Russian Empire, etc. The Roman Empire is no more.

You are speaking in human terms. I speak of the philosophies, ideas or even the "spirit" of the Roman Empire. These things divide East from West. The biggest propagator of Roman thought is democratic and Roman Catholic systems. The majority of protestant Christianity is built upon a Roman Catholic like system. That is why out of 100% of people who attend church ,only about 2% do the work. That is, the idea that Christian service is limited to the few. From the way marriages, funeral services are performed, to the way houses are designed, to the political system with the senate, it is all Roman, with flavors of Greece, and other great civilizations.

I speak in human terms? You speak in human terms, you have no Biblical bases for what you say. No where in the scriptures does it talk about the Roman empire rises literally or spiritually in the form of future nations. And even if your right about the way the cultural has used Rome and Greek systems, so what, big deal what's wrong with that? People don't do things because of culture, they do things because of personal beliefs. If they believe that they don't have to do anything then they won't. They would be wrong if as a Christian they rely on everyone else to do the job, but it really doesn't have any bearing on a passed society way of living.

Like I said, you are speaking in terms of human history, human terms. You need spiritual and prophetic insight to read and understand, and perhaps some better understanding of the origins of nations.
The big deal is, in the eyes of God the USA is a propagation of the Roman Empire, and so are all the nations which propagate a democratic and capitalist philosophy.
The belief that "the USA is not in the bible" is true in terms of human history, but the USA is part of God's plan, and it comes under the Roman Empire, of which it is a "spiritual" extension.
To me this is obvious, also because of the prevalence of Roman Catholicism in the USA. Catholicism is the religious arm of the Roman Empire.

"People don't do things because of culture, they do things because of personal beliefs."

Culture plays a big part in human activity. Whenever Christians go from one country to another, part of the culture they are in goes with them.
For example in the USA many churches fly flags of the USA in their sanctuaries, thus putting the USA on the same level as the crucifix or other religious symbols normally displayed. There you have a mixture of US culture with religion. Churches in many other countries do not do this.

The bible teaches that in the end God will destroy human culture and the human nations and replace with Christ's rule. The first nation was started by Nimrod, and human nations are attempts to replace God's kingdom on Earth. Just because a country isn't explicitly mentioned "in the bible" doesn't mean it is not considered by God.

Where do you find all this information? What verse or verses? What passage in scripture are you using to back up what you are saying? I believe the United States was founded not on Roman Catholic doctrines but on Protestant.

What's your point? Is it a sin to have ones nation flag displayed? Are we worshiping religious symbols now? Culture may play a big part in people's lives but it doesn't mean if you live like a German or a Chinese your living in sin. Only when you do things that goes against God's laws are you sinning.

I'm not sure it's a sin to create a nation. God did create the different languages at the tower of Babel, therefore creating all sorts of different nations. I don't believe the United States is even mentioned in the Bible, but I would agree with you that God does consider all the nations, because he knows everything. When Christ returns the only ones left on earth will be those who worship him so we won't have to worry about cultures.

This is from Daniel's vision in Daniel 2:41-43. The iron mixed with clay represents the weakened Roman Empire, which has continued, in some form, as of dictatorships and democracies, since then. USA is not founded on true protestantism. Catholicism came to USA before the protestant reformation, in the 1500's, and a number of the founding fathers were deist, and then you have the influence of free-masonry. Anyway since protestantism came out of Roman Catholicism, the flavor of the protestant churches in general is Roman Catholic. Today, a number of protestant churches consider re-joining the Catholic church or at least, having combined services with them.

Well the bible says "love not the world", and "the world" includes the culture. The only culture the Christian should have is Christ, not the beliefs , values and traditions of the world.
This is my opinion. I don't believe displaying flags is respectful to brethren from other countries. The flag can be a stumbling block. Suppose some Christians from another country come in and see the flag displayed. They may feel they do not belong in the church, even though they are brothers and sisters in Christ. It could be a cause for contention and division. Suppose I went to a church that displayed football memorabilia and slogans. If I don't like football I may feel like I don't belong. The Christian church is not of the world, so I believe any worldly symbols should not be displayed. I think it should be about Christ and Christ alone.

The USA must be in the bible. This is simple logic:
The prophecies in Daniel speaks of end time events.
In Daniel's prophecy, the last kingdom spoken of is the one of iron mixed with clay.
Therefore when Christ returns this last kingdom of iron mixed with clay is remaining.
The kingdom of iron mixed with clay started with the Roman Empire and has continued ever since. This symbol can refer to the world situation today of dictatorships (iron) and democracies (clay).
Therefore the USA must be part of this iron mixed with clay kingdom.

God will eventually destroy all human kingdoms:

Daniel 2:44-45
44 “In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever. 45 This is the meaning of the vision of the rock cut out of a mountain, but not by human hands—a rock that broke the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver and the gold to pieces.

I'm going to have to disagree with you brother. Daniel's prophecy was fulfilled long ago. The Roman Empire ended, it is not prophesied to rise again. When Christ came he is the stone that destroyed the statue. He started the growth of the kingdom on the day of Pentecost. And just like the mountain it is growing and will consume the entire world eventually. Read every verse in the New Testament that has the word kingdom and you will see that the kingdom is here. And it's not what people who believe in a future millennium kingdom, think it is.

If you believe it's wrong to display ones countries flag that is your belief. If it offends you then I'm sorry. I don't worship the flag or the cross, I worship Christ.

I don't agree with revisionist concerning the founding of the United States. I believe there were more believers then revisionist would like to believe. Even those who I know weren't believers still believed that to have Biblical principals is the right thing to do.

Preterism. I used to believe in that myself :)
