Where do you find all this information? What verse or verses? What passage in scripture are you using to back up what you are saying? I believe the United States was founded not on Roman Catholic doctrines but on Protestant.
This is from Daniel's vision in Daniel 2:41-43. The iron mixed with clay represents the weakened Roman Empire, which has continued, in some form, as of dictatorships and democracies, since then. USA is not founded on true protestantism. Catholicism came to USA before the protestant reformation, in the 1500's, and a number of the founding fathers were deist, and then you have the influence of free-masonry. Anyway since protestantism came out of Roman Catholicism, the flavor of the protestant churches in general is Roman Catholic. Today, a number of protestant churches consider re-joining the Catholic church or at least, having combined services with them.
What's your point? Is it a sin to have ones nation flag displayed? Are we worshiping religious symbols now? Culture may play a big part in people's lives but it doesn't mean if you live like a German or a Chinese your living in sin. Only when you do things that goes against God's laws are you sinning.
Well the bible says "love not the world", and "the world" includes the culture. The only culture the Christian should have is Christ, not the beliefs , values and traditions of the world.
This is my opinion. I don't believe displaying flags is respectful to brethren from other countries. The flag can be a stumbling block. Suppose some Christians from another country come in and see the flag displayed. They may feel they do not belong in the church, even though they are brothers and sisters in Christ. It could be a cause for contention and division. Suppose I went to a church that displayed football memorabilia and slogans. If I don't like football I may feel like I don't belong. The Christian church is not of the world, so I believe any worldly symbols should not be displayed. I think it should be about Christ and Christ alone.
I'm not sure it's a sin to create a nation. God did create the different languages at the tower of Babel, therefore creating all sorts of different nations. I don't believe the United States is even mentioned in the Bible, but I would agree with you that God does consider all the nations, because he knows everything. When Christ returns the only ones left on earth will be those who worship him so we won't have to worry about cultures.
The USA must be in the bible. This is simple logic:
The prophecies in Daniel speaks of end time events.
In Daniel's prophecy, the last kingdom spoken of is the one of iron mixed with clay.
Therefore when Christ returns this last kingdom of iron mixed with clay is remaining.
The kingdom of iron mixed with clay started with the Roman Empire and has continued ever since. This symbol can refer to the world situation today of dictatorships (iron) and democracies (clay).
Therefore the USA must be part of this iron mixed with clay kingdom.
God will eventually destroy all human kingdoms:
Daniel 2:44-45
44 “In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever. 45 This is the meaning of the vision of the rock cut out of a mountain, but not by human hands—a rock that broke the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver and the gold to pieces.
