Read the first few chapters of Job. The devil must get permission to harm us.

Which God will never give concerning His own.

Jeremiah 29:11

And His ears are open to their prayers;

I know this is an unpleasant thought, that it can be God's will for us to go through trials when we didn't do any thing wrong. Our proper response to trials can bring glory to God.
Job 2:3-6

5 But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face.
6 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.

Ophel,

I know this is an unpleasant thought, that it can be God's will for us to go through trials when we didn't do any thing wrong. Our proper response to trials can bring glory to God.
Job 2:3-6

No one has said we are not subject to trials, and God even promises us persecution. but harm does not come from the hand of God. He only wants our good.

John 10:9-10
Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved.[b] They will come and go freely and will find good pastures. 10 The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.

Rev 12:5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
This is the Birth of our LORD JESUS!

Revelations are Not always future! They are things GOD reveals to us ! Just as He reveals the meaning of Scriptures !
They are revelations to us !

1Co_2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
These are revelations !



1Co_2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

1Co_2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
1Co_15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
Eph_1:9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
Eph_3:3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
Eph_3:4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
Eph_3:9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
Eph_5:32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

These understanding are All revelations given by the HOLY GHOST to US!

The devil watches..he is always watching..he goes to god to challenge god with gods people...God doesnt hurt us the devil does..GOd lifts us up and shields us and makes a bad situation good...Triles do bring glory to god..it shows the devil that he is not in contoll and that the devil cannot take away from the hands of our lord who choose us..

NOw we are born into sin cause of adams and Eves fall..so yes it is written in the bible that unfortanitly Satan is the prince and ruler of this world...But..and there is a big but..Satan is very limited on what he can do...God is the creater and we are his chidren..SO some demons are chained in hell waiting to come out to reighn..When it comes to gods children..Satan has to ask God what he can and can not do....Satan does not have the power over us at all..We belong to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ...

But again yes we are born into Satan in this world that is why we are born into sin..hints Devil...Sin...lol....But we are chosen by Christ before we are born...We are not made perfect like our Lord..IT is inpossible to be perfect for we will all fail....

So GOd choses his people and he will choose whom ever he wants..So even if the Pricne of hell has a bit of controll on mankind its because either 1 we let him or we do not know better.....In short GOd is taking his planet back and saying Lucifer you will be cast into the Lake of Fire Forever and my children will have the land promised by me there one and only god..For ther is no other GOd....

GOd bless i hope that came out ok..If not im sorry...YOu can correct me if you want..I cant always type what i mean to say..lol..Thats why its easter to go straight with the bible references and quotes...lol...But my bible is in the other room and i really have a headache this morning..

lol..WEll the most important thing we need to know is the truth,the life and the way...The devil is a lier promises so many things that he can not deliever..lol.,..he has no freedeom what so ever..and nothing to offer this world that he is trying to steal from ourl lord..

I say you can not pluck from the hands of our lord..and our Lord said it as well...Keep in faith and keep your spirituall armor on at all times...cause without our armor we are in trouble..GLory to GOd for his word , his armor always..Glorify the Lord not the devils..amen

I agree with most of what you said about the devil's limitations.
We are elect and chosen because God sees us accept Jesus in the future.

1 Peter 1:1-2
