Angels on the head of a pin

I hope my Pose
I concede that one, but on the other hand, there wasn't really a moment of conversion for him.
There are many things not understood, because we find it hard to listen to the Holy Spirit on subjects we have never thought of.

Johns soul was asked , and said yes . Much in the way Lucifer who was in Heaven said no.

Use your discernment on this , and you will know the truth.

The Lord told me once, the most important Gift to learn, is to recognize God's peace in your heart. Strive to continue doing so, it is something you will need to know well.

When I was younger, the question "How many angels can dance on the head of a pin?" typically was a retort to when someone asks a what if question about something that had no definitive answer, and yet people love those questions and are more willing to talk about that than important things or even everyday things. Am I the only one that feels that question rolling around inside my head often here on TJ? I dont say it because its considered rude to point it out, and sometimes the questions are sincere, but I think lots of time, people just want to bring up controversial topics to see how many hits they get and stir up conversation. I guess I am sort of a stick in the mud. I like good worship music, listening to it now, and looking for interesting topics here that are "real" questions, and not preaching "this is my truth, make it yours".
This silly question usually comes up from people who cannot reconcile the spirit world with the physical world....How could angels who are spirit take women who are physical and breed with them? They do not understand angels or the spirit world at all.....The angels have bodies that CAN be touched...they have bodies that can easily interact with the physical...Angel bodies, as ours will be are as physical as ours are now, with benefits. They can pass through walls. they can go from here to there at the speed of thought and so on....Knowing what angel bodies are really like...makes that a very silly question..

A certain person named albert who was a physicist, concluded that matter and energy are interchangable, even made a formula for it, not sure that his formula is entirely acurate, but he was right about them being interchangable. God and angels know this, they can be both if they wish. Although God is always Spirit, a small part of him can be solid, visable, if He so desires. Note the hand that wrote on the wall in the halls of the emperor in babylon. And also note Jesus. Angels natural state is spirit, but they can be solid if they so desire.

This isnt unique to "spiritual " forums sadly, its eveywhere, the bus forum, the subaru forum etc. people are weird and desire attention anyway they can, even if that means starting up a nonsense topic or asking a foolish question . Avoid and dont respond to such nonsense. People come here to find answers, as they do in the bus and subaru forums, answer their questions and help them out of love. The enemy also watches over spiritual forums and plants seeds of nonsense so people waste time and internet data responding to it.

Discernment should always be in use.

Doesnt stop Gods humor.

Gods humor, people take scripture so seriously. Moses, the intellectual, the logical person, got heavy dose of God's humor. The bush that burns, yet is not consumed. The staff that becomes a snake and swollows the other snake, and back to a staff. The pillar of cloud, the pillar of fire , the rock that gives water , etc etc .

You are so limited my friend. What will you do to explain the snow on your roof when no one else gets it . Lol

Do you really want to know the others ( in Scripture) , who had the Holy Spirit in them , without the Laying of hands .
Or do you make boundries for what God can do.

Samson , Elijah , Moses , etc

Samson, Elijah and Moses, had the Holy Spirit come "upon" them. But I know of no scripture that says the Holy Spirit permanently dwelled within them.

John 7:39; But He was speaking here of the Spirit, Whom those who believed (trusted, had faith) in Him were afterward to receive. For the [Holy] Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified (raised to honor).

John 16:7; "But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.

The apostles, (in fact the 72 other disciples also) were able to cast out demons and do miracles, but it by Jesus covering them with His authority at that time.
After Acts 2, they were baptized in the Holy Spirit and had that power within themselves.

There is some debates over whether the Holy Spirit leaves a believer under the current covenant... and even more debate over whether the Holy Spirit stays with you if you abandon the faith.
But in the Old testament the Holy Spirit definitely left people.

1Sam 16:14; Now the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD terrorized him.

Jdg 16:20; She said, "The Philistines are upon you, Samson!" And he awoke from his sleep and said, "I will go out as at other times and shake myself free." But he did not know that the LORD had departed from him.

If the Spirit only came upon Elijah, why then at any given time could he do such wonders. 2 Kings 2: 8 , Elijah took his cloak rolled it up and struck the water and the water divided to the left and right and the two of them crossed over dry ground.

If Elijah did not have the Spirit, what did Elisha get a double portion of? Elijah said to Elisha "make your request, what can I do for you before I am taken from you. " Elisha answered " let me inherit a double share of your spirit ". 2 Kings 2 : 9

Malachi 3:6-8

King James Version

6 For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
When did the triune God come to be?

When did the triune God come to be?
He always was .

The Holy Spirit is the Love from the Father to the Son and the Love of the Son to the Father.

When did the triune God come to be?

He always existed.
But the Holy Spirit in the old testament only came upon a few people. Mostly prophets, judges, and leaders of Israel.
In the new testament the Holy Spirit is given to all believers.

Yes. What is more, in the Baptism , there is more than just the Gifts, you are being given the authority to use them.

Look at Lucifer, he was given all the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, and then rejected God. He has no authority in the Gifts. It is why you might hear about a false minister doing a healing, but then the healing fails.

Or look at Acts, in scripture, where a man tries casting out a demon. The demon replies, i know Paul, but i dont know you. Its because he had no authority in his words.

I have always been amazed at the authority of Jesus. He was so meek and kind in His words while here with the apostles compared to the authority to create everything from nothing with the force of the words "Let there be light!".
