I am! I am a worship leader in my church. I have been leading worship for 15 years. I also have been studying with Integrity Worship Studies through Integrity music. I would love to meet other musicians. I am a singer and play a little keyboard.

Dusty

Musician Here!

I learned how to play bass in church from a very wise and faithful teacher. Since then I have learned to play guitar (acoustic and electric) and drums. I don't think a day goes by that I don't use my skills to praise the lord in my personal time and with my friends.

It is such a joy to be able to play for the lord.

I saw that Third Day was mentioned earlier. Great band. They truly love the Lord as well.

God Bless,
Geremy

I play a little acustic guitar (teaching myself for the most part), and like to sing. My work schedule doesn't permit me to be on the worship team at church...
However, everyother Friday night we host a Bible study at our house, and 3 or 4 of us all play acustics and start off with some praise and worship. I enjoy it greatly.
My wonderful wife (Jesuslovesu) got me an acustic for my birthday this year. How lucky am I?!

God bless,
Nigh

I sing in a choir, and I've been singing for the last.. well.. 17years? ever since I was 7.

I play piano, have played viola and violin and Bass.
I like to play rythm (sp?) instruments like tambourine, also.

In what I like to listen to Petra is Christian rock and roll...I like JJ Heller and Avalon, Mercy Me and Sidewalk Prophets and many others too.

I have actually been writing some lyrics for some Christian Rap. I would love to hear some commentary on a song i have been working on for a while now called "The Great Omission" (no that is not a typo). Please send me a message if you would like to take a look at them. I would love for someone to scrutinize how doctrinally accurate the song is.

Thanks!

P.S. - If you are looking for some good Christian Rap check out the following artists: Lecrae, Trip Lee, Tedashii, Json, K-drama, Thi'sl, Flame, Cross Movement, Da T.R.U.T.H. (although his recent marital issues are very sad, some of his songs are VERY catchy)

Hi guys, the importance of music whithin the church cannot be overemphasised thats probably why David and Solomon devoted so much attention to composing lyrics to praise the Lord.

My favorite genre is christian contemporary music (CCM). You could describe it as sounding a bit like gospel soft rock. I think the beauty of mordern christianity is that the Church is now confident enough to produce music in all genres, thus reaching a wider spectrum of people... another step in fulfillment of the message of the Pentecost.

I play drums for the small group here in Middle East. It's really difficult to have a small gathering and group service here. Thank God for the brave and dedicated pastors and leaders. God is always been good.

My favorites are Hillsong band and Chris Tomlin.
I didn't know that there is metal and rap christian music.

I like Christian pop the best, but I also love praise and worship and DC talk, and some Christian Alternative. Whatever glorifies Christ and reminds us of His greatness and love for Him, reminds us of our need for Him, the importance of repentence, seeking His holiness and being hungry for righteousness. Someone else in this thread stated, it's not important what style of music, in that we worship when we sing to Him or listen to others sing. Surely God likes any music that glorifies Him and not our flesh.

I don't care at all for Country gospel music, but the lyrics are good and I have nothing against it, it's just not my favorite style/sound.

Classically trained and I only do Hymns and some Scripture in Song.

Most of the popular Christian stuff these days sounds like secular stuff. When there is little difference between what people put before God that is like the world I just wonder if these people truly understand we are to be HOLY as God is HOLY.

I'm not saying every single Christian Song of today is like that but most of what I see and hear when I go into a Christian store today sounds like they just have the Secular Radio playing in the background unless you take the time to listen really closely to the lyrics. Not impressed by most of the lyrics of these songs either by the way.

However in the end God is the one who will decide wether it is appropriate. Fortunately I don't have to listen to it and I wouldn't waste my money on anything with a Hillsong label.

As someone who is in the music business and also a musician i play guitar and sing to and i give all the credit back to GOD been doing outreaches street ministry and we would rock their socks off and see a lot of people come to know Jesus

I'm somewhat talented in rap music. I was thinking about making songs Praising Lord Jesus Christ, or revealing my testimony in song.
