What is Pelagian ?

(Britannica)
Pelagianism, also called Pelagian heresy, a 5th-century Christian heresytaught by Pelagius and his followers that stressed the essential goodness of human nature and the freedom of the human will. Pelagius was concerned about the slack moral standards among Christians, and he hoped to improve their conduct by his teachings. Rejecting the arguments of those who claimed that they sinned because of human weakness, he insisted that God made human beings free to choose between good and evil and that sin is a voluntary act committed by a person against God’s law.

you are missing something in your understand concerning Pelagian. that is why i gave the clip, that might have to be digest slowly by some until the end of it and meditate on the wording.

oh yes you have to think, it is not a quick read if you are not a student of the Church Fathers. After i had study the Church fathers, then I got to "Thomas Aquinas" i could not understand him, I put him down for about 10 years then came back and tried to study Him, again. Then I understood everything he was saying. He almost blew my mind of His understanding of the word of GOD, for His fight was against the Highly Intelligent men and theologians who thought they were above the common people of GOD! And He was brighter than any of them. The most highly intelligent would laugh at Him in "university" but in the end, He took them apart, he fought for the underdogs of GOD. as that is displayed in the Word of GOD! I read over a thousand pages concerning Him form the time he was 13 years old, ran away, a stow on a ship, traveling to a Seminary to learn about GOD, His mother hired men to find Him and bring him back home. She lock him up in a castle. to keep him from going to Seminary to learn about GOD, He escape again, she sent more men back out, to bring him back home, Finally she realize she could not keep Him from running away to Seminary, so she hire men, to help him to escape from her own castle, and stow away on ship going to "Seminary", He thought he was stealing away, But it was his own mother orchestrating his escape out of his own house, 13 years old going to University to learn about GOD. He earn the name "Doctor Angelicus" Philosopher, theologian, and Jurists, Doctor Communis, Doctor Universails. He fought for us the little I's and the little you's. I needed about 4 "dictionaries to understand His writings, he almost burn my brain up! LOL!

Lol Brother, i can fully concur. I know what you mean about Thomas Aquinas. He is like Paul was to the Jews, and more.

Have you ever read that series of books called the Sunday Sermons of the Founding Fathers. Those are some very cool books to read

I know how you like to make me think, as i too like to challenge you. So i will research some on Pelagian. Im unfamiliar with it

Thank you to bring it up brother.

Believe me, some are chosen by God, I am sitting here now as an example of that. I was chosen from a very young age. My story is to long to post here, it would be the size of war and peace.

I can also say God chose me long ago, as i have always been with him. But it did not stop me from being a sinner when i fell out of grace. This is something all Christians struggle with as God works with us , bringing us into His Holiness.

Jesus tells us to be Holy as He is Holy.

When the Children of God are given much. And those who walk in the Holy Spirit are. Then much is expected. Even to the point that the simplest of sins we allow can effect others.

We are all parts of the body of Christ. We are Christ's church. And when one is effected by sin, it reflects to the others. The same can be said with prayer, when you pray for the body of believers, we all recieve that Grace
