Are Christians killing other Christians? A start of a simple discussion.

@ushalk do you have any particular situations/facts that you want to centre this discussion on?

What would you say if i told you there is a lot of killing going on between Christians?

Are you referring to that which Jesus admonished?: "Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment:" Matthew 5:21-22.

No, this has to do with what i like to call chuchianity christians.

Call it what you like, but give us a definition for what you call "churchianity christians." Thank you.
I dont think what i call churchianity christians is what is important. So now let me tell you a few things about some hard truth. The kind of truth people cant handle. First of all i was street kid with no parents. God taught me lessons through many hardships. I am the guy that has walked into rooms and bathrooms and found people dead with needles sticking out of their arms.

Not to pretty of sights. But what disturbs me more is the people sitting in pews, teaching the word of god and claiming this or that. But then they act as though they are God and decide who is worthy of salvation and who isnt. Who is worthy of fellowship and who isnt. Afraid to step in and minister to the ones hurting the most because of the nieghborhood they live in.

The ones that make their judgements of worthiness on people by how they look, dress, how much they have or dont have, what kind of vehicle they drive. Judging people on life decisions that they dont know anything about. They dont pray to be a spokesperson and they dont seek truth or ask questions of the person only judge.

Dont write justificatiins for it on this thread, because there is none. Either your faith is in Christ or it isnt.

And this is you ...

Yes and no.
Every Christian has their idea of what it means to be a 'true christian', so if Christian A believes something different from Christian B, then of course Christian B would believe that Christian A is destroying Christianity and what it means to be a Christian.
So then you have to ask, what does it mean to be a 'true Christian'? Well, there's no real answer to that since everyone is subject to their own interpretations, and these interpretations aren't right or wrong.
Take tattooing for example. Some Christians are against it and will refer to a few verses in the Bible, but some Christian's see nothing wrong with it and will refer to the Bible to support their views. Neither side is necessarily right or wrong, but both sides would look at the other and assert that the opposing view is damaging Christianity and what it means to be a Christian.
I believe this is what you were asking, but please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

I will not bore you with the graphic details of my life, or of my experiences. We all have tragedy, and we can all point to what we've had happen to us as the worst that anyone could ever endure. Only I do not own all the worlds problems, and the lady or the fellow or the child sitting near me on the train may very well be experiencing things in their lives that I have never had to endure. So I pray.

Sad truth sonny regarding "churchianity": anyone who says they are looking for the perfect church (assembly of believers), before they would go and fellowship with a bunch of hypocrites, will spend a lifetime searching for it. And just when they think they've found it, the perfect church, as soon as they step foot into it, or become a member of it, that assembly of believers has become as imperfect as all others. That's the truth. We are all broken sinful fallen humans.

Jesus exhorts all of us that follow HIM to take the beam out of our own eyes before we try and take speck out of our brother's eye, namely: be holy and be sanctified before you judge the behavior of someone or way someone else lives.

Judging others for their immutable chatacteristics, as in: what pigmentation skin they have, what body shape they have, what color hair or eyes they have, or whether they have hair, etc, is not appropriate under any circumstance. It's not Christian to do so.

Christians are exhorted to judge, to be discerning. We do not condemn; that is God's purview. As followers of Christ we are told to discern. If we see our brother or sister sin, we don't celebrate that sin with him or her, we admonish them in truth and in love as Christ would.

The lost and the afraid need the Lord Jesus just like every one who is already HIS needs HIM. When we come out of the darkness and into the light, when we are HIS, then we put behind all that was and press forward to all that will be. That includes helping the lost and the hurting and the afraid out of the darkness and into the light, and hope that they, too, will be saved.

Amen brother. Carry on.

I though that is elementary. Have Jews kill, Jews, have the 12 tribes of Israel the Hebrew killed one another, have The Roman Catholics killed Protestants, who killed the "Huguenot", Who killed "William Tyndale", who Killed "John Hus", Oh i forgot, they don't teach "church history" in christian churches, because it is to violent.:pensive:

Sorry for intervening.

I would love to talk to you about these things in private or in another thread.

This is the importance of all christ stood for. Not tragedy i wrote about. That wasnt nothing compared to what i have seen or been through.

I said dont justify. Because justification for one is for all. You push people out of your churches on your standards. Putting many back into dangerous situations and harmful life styles. WHAT IS GODS STANDARD ON SUCH THINGS? WHO MADE YOU SO HIGH AND MIGHTY? WHO ARE YOU TO SAY WHO CAN BE SAVED AND WHO CANT? WHO ARE TO SAY WHO IS OR WHO ISNT SAVED? WHO ARE TO SAY THE WORTHINESS OF ANYONE.

There are people literally on death beds because of the judgements of people inside. Including leaders. Am i mad. I am beyond mad. I would rather do away with church buildings, sects, denomination, idea of it in the world. Than to keep seein the world thoughts and standards in it.

I would love to talk to you about these things in private or in another thread.
Pick up or read a "copy of "Foxe's Book of Martyrs"
Book Overview
For nearly two-thousand years, courageous men and women have been tortured and killed because of their confessions of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. This updated edition of Foxes Book of Martyrs, contains stories of persecution up to 2001. Stories of heroic courage and overcoming faith. Stories of love of God and Christ. Stories of the amazing grace of God that enabled men, women, and children to endure persecutions and often horrible deaths.

You have almost 500 pages of Martyrs killed by pagans and christians. I first read that book when I was about 26-27 year old, and many time more He helps you to suffer a little more when you really think you have.. [ You read every page, then we can talk about. and don't let it take you all week!]:relieved:
