As a Christians are we Jew or Gentile ? Scriptures to follow :
What an interesting question. Gentile means 'pagan' but we are not pagans ....so NO we are not gentiles
Gentile means 'non Jew' so Yes we are gentiles
But we are grafted in to the vine...So No we are not gentiles
Then what about the Hebrew people who do not follow God? They become gentiles because they are not of God?
The fact of the matter is because we are Gods people we are NOT Gentiles...We are Gods people...
Look at these verses:
Matthew 12:18
“Here is my servant, whom I have chosen, my beloved, with whom I am well pleased; I will put my Spirit on him, and he will announce justice to the Gentiles.
Matthew 12:21
In him the Gentiles will put their hope.”
Acts 13:48

There are quite a few more that you can look at. All of them refer to the unsaved....I know....Paul referred to Non Jew Christians as Gentiles at first too....He, as a man, was on a learning curve too. He didn't keep doing that.
