Paul, your comment is worthy until your pride jumps up and bites your arrogant ass over your personal pride... spelling, really. I had an uncle with a Ph.D. that could not spell tidbit. Personally, I often spell phonetically because I almost graduated the Eighth Grade before enlisting a 17. During enlistment, I was tested for a GED and maxed all but one test but still made 96 percent on it. If it can be understood there is an insu8rmkountable chart of reasons not to nitpick, not the least of which is the Golden Rule from the principles taught in the Word of YHWH,

Yes, and he did more than reject the kingdoms of the world -- he came as King of Kings and Lord of Lords, disarming all the powers and authorities that strive to usurp the authority of God. That's how we can live peacefully and joyfully in the shadow of dark powers. We don't have to win the culture wars; just stay faithful to our calling wherever we are, knowing that in Jesus we are on the winning side!

No I'm not Bill. In fact I have votes Republican many times (for actual conservatives). I am NOT a Democrat and have not been one for nearly 40 years. I am a Jesus-can! My Lord and example was totally for private ownership, free enterprise, and preferred self-governance, but as God knowing what knucleheads and easily led the masses are, He allowed Civil Authorities, because many cannot keep it Civil. they want to take up weapons and intimidate and even kill their opposition.
Now having said that, and I am for all those things, I also see and obey Jesus who COMMMANDS us to love our neighbor as ourselves, to care about the poor, to feed the hungry, offer healing to all who come for it, and strive to set the oppressed at liberty and He charged nothing. So IF some (or you) are lopsided by political extremes I cannot help that, but me and my house will remain true to our Lord and emulate Him. If that angers you then take it up with Him (Matthew 25:31-46) because many who CLAIM to be His followers clearly are not (Matthew 25:1-13). So you choose, goats or sheep? I have chosen to oppose all goats, but I will to do the works God foreordained for us to do (Ephesians 2:10; James 2:18-19) and push for those goals whoever is making them happen.
The Problem with the political realm, IMHO, is when one of these two greedy power hungry parties gets full control of House and Senate (with or without the White House) the good that they would actually do is played down and their hidden agenda is made apparent (and it is never good whether Dem or Repub). Just follow Jesus and be like Him, doing what He did, acting like He acted, speaking and thinking what He spoke and thought.

Bro Paul, without closing the Border and wiping the Cartels out, they do nothing to help the poor. Your view is narrow and benefits the Cartels and the Wealthy. Yes! The poor, like myself, fight the wars but to pass over doing a Good Work is so much better than dying from an overdose.
