Read the Gospels and maybe you'll learn. You started this thread insulting others. Is that Christ like to you? You have a wrong understanding of what it is to be a Christian. Your supposed to reach out to the lost, not insult them the way you did.

GOD sent someone(s) to reach out to you, now its your rightful duty to do the same if you care to walk humbly with Christ.

Jesus never insulted anyone. The things he said about the false prophets he could, because he knows their hearts. He is the only one that can judge. Not us!

I was going to state the same thing if byjesus45 had brought up those verses where Jesus was short and sarcastic with the Pharisees for example. GOD is perfect and the Judge, so therefore He can say "your a fool" to someone who is indeed a fool and has rejected Christ after receiving the knowledge of the Word.

However, we are all sinners and we're no more or less fools than the unbelievers. We've all sinned, so whats the point in calling people falls? How is that "helping them"? Calling someone a fool is not going to make them feel loved.

I do agree it's not for us to judge them, and being arrogant toward
them isn't going to do any good either, I think being soft in heart

Your right sister Maureen. My entire family are religious "hail mary" Catholics. I love them, but I hate the religion.

C.S. Lewis, probably the most influential and most intelligent Christian author the past 100 years, used to be an atheist at one time. Let me tell you briefly how intelligent this man was:

He had an extensive, huge library of his own inside his own home. You could have picked any book from his collection, open it to any page and he could literally quote something from that page!

GOD had His plans for this mighty man even when he was just an atheist.

Chad, may I ask as to why you hate the Catholic religion? I was taught to love people and things no matter what. I have many friends from different religious backgrounds, and I don't hate their religion, I respect it. But what does that make me? I seriously am asking this, because this topic has really got me thinking. Do I have to "hate" (even though that is a strong word to use) their religions too as time goes on and as I learn about the real truth to Jesus Christ?

OpenMyHeart...I hate the religion, not the people.

Any religion outside Christianity is from the devil to be accurate and honest. That does not mean we should insult them nor condemn them. However, we should not "like" the religion nor partake in anything to do with it.

We are to follow Christ and ONLY Christ. No exceptions, no excuses, no swaying around. If you do any of those, you just end up being religious yourself in the end.

GOD hates the sin, but loves the sinner. That is how I meant it when I said I hate the religion. The religion itself is ruled by Rome and is 100% from the devil if you ask me. I have countless years of experience with the whole Catholicism. I have the background to speak out of experience. 13 yrs of Catholic schools. 100+ Catholic family members. Plus research and studies.

What about Islam. Do you not hate that religion? They promote killing people right inside their Q'uaran. Its from the devil. Why should I not hate something that hates GOD?

Hate is a powerful word, but there are right and wrong ways use to that word as any other word or statement.

I was taught to love and accept things no matter, however if someone does wrong against the human race by their actions such as these terrorists who are from a group of diverse cultures apart from Islam, then yes I hate terrorisms. I can't say say I hate the Islamic religion because I don't know anything about it. That's the point I'm trying to make - not everyone is going to see eye to eye on tihs specific topic as we have seen.


However I am going to incline to agree with Maureen's psot, I do not understand why there are so many different religions out there, but if people want to follow the other ones, and not the right one, then that's their choice. Don't start putting words in my mouth. I stated the truth that the Q'uran promotes killing people. That is a fact. I did not "judge" anyone so get your facts right before you start accusing people of judging others, which in fact you did initially in this thread. Don't play these childish games of revenge with words.

Obviously you state you know nothing about Islamic religion, so don't make remarks in your replies of me accusing them of being terrorists when you do not know their "bible", the Q'uran.

I have to agree with Chad on this one because there is only One Truth, One Way and that way is salvation through Jesus Christ. (John 14:6 "I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.")

What Chad was trying to say is that other beliefs are wrong and if you are not for God you are against God, there is no grey area. Other religions are clearly wrong and sinful. God hates sin. We should hate sin. Just because we hate their religion does not mean we hate them. You see, I too hate other religions because it deceives so many people, I don't hate the people. If they choose to follow another religion I will respect that but I won't condone it. There is a big difference. The fact that they could go to hell scares me and bothers me. We should be trying to do something about it (saving them), not just letting them slide.

What would you think of someone who witnesses a child drowning and does nothing about it? Do you think he is guilty of murder? Do you think he deserves to be punished? In the same way, if we just watch people die in their sins, knowing they are going to go to hell and don't try to do anything about it - don't try and warn them of what's to come after they die, then we are just as guilty as that person who witnesses a drowning child and does nothing about it.

My son also thinks I 'put down' other religions, he can't see it's the sin of that religion that is the point.
We have the truth, and the truth will set you free.
Jesus himself, spurned the Scribes and Pharisees of His day, for such things, whited sepulchres, he named them.

Matthew 23 v 27
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.

This says much if Jesus told it, but then He can judge.
We can help show the path unto them, but most don't want
to know, they can't see past the deception.
